“Without a doubt, this food truck located on the Eastern Promenade has become our absolute favorite. It is our go-to place for a delightful Saturday afternoon lunch. The falafel they serve is simply exceptional—crispy and golden on the outside, while being light and incredibly fluffy on the inside. Each wrap is a harmonious symphony of flavors that never fails to impress us.The soft, pillowy pita bread they bake adds a delightful touch, perfectly complemented by the creamy and velvety hummus. What truly elevates the experience are the vibrant and crunchy fresh veggies that provide a burst of freshness with every bite. The portion sizes are remarkably generous, and if you're feeling especially hungry, don't miss out on their fries—they're a worthy addition to your meal. And to take it to the next level of deliciousness, we highly recommend trying one of their flavorful sauces.Beyond the phenomenal food, the stunning views of Casco Bay make the whole experience even more memorable. There's something magical about enjoying a scrumptious falafel while being surrounded by such breathtaking scenery. If you're in the area, grab a picnic bench and make it a point to visit. You won't be disappointed!“
“Burger was good. Spent $70 to feed 4 people. Everything is ordering individually. The most basic burger is almost $13.Dietary restrictions: Have gluten free bun optionKid-friendliness: You order and then sit down. So very casual atmosphere.“
“I'm not exaggerating if I say that this is the best pizza I've eaten in my life. We took 3 XL size pizzas for 5 people. You have to be extremely hungry to succeed in finishing.I will remember you for a very long time, Otto ❤️For pity’s sake, remove the traumatic photo of the men’s toilet ?“
“Crazy delicious! Sauce is fantastic!Ordered full sausage, half pepperoni (me), half mushroom (her).I’d skip the sausage next time. The crust was sublime! Almost went with 4 stars because it was quite pricey but couldn’t do it because it was so good!Sorry no pics… too hungry!!!“
“We really like Otto's pizzas generally, and we have always had a good experience at this location. Unlike the Congress Street location (you can check out my separate review), the Read Street location is organized and seems pretty well run. We have had a few experiences of over and under cooked pizzas, but still the best pizza in town!“
“This is the go to for pizza in Maine. A nyc friend was up a few weeks ago, and was very timid to try ottos.. he's a nyc or bust kinda guy. He would not shut up about how impressive every slice was. From the pep, the classic cheese, even the potato and chive.. he would not shut up until he left town “
“We ordered two small pizzas, to try different flavors - spicy pulled pork, pepperoni, bacon & sausage and spinach, kalamata olive & roasted garlic. Both were delicious. This was our second time to Otto. We live about a mile up the road from your South Portland location. Our first visit, I wasn't thrilled with the pizza. We ordered a large something or other (?) and I thought "Meh, I don't see what al the fuss is about." So we usually order from DiPietro's - fairly yummy, basic, inexpensive pizzas. I wanted to give the joint another try. This time I ordered two smalls - different flavors - one with meat and one without. They looked rustic and handcrafted, smelled, and tasted delicious. The process was efficient. We were very pleased and will continue to order those flavors and try new ones.“
“Green Elephant. Much Elegant! Our sweet sweet boy wanted to go here! And we got into the BEAUTIFUL seaside city of Portland Maine! A friendly town elder welcomed us to the city! We went into Green Elegant and ordered soda. Less ice next time please! The man who I drive with ate some tofu and noodles and had his shirt tucked in because this is a NICE place to eat. Our Sweet boy ate something he liked. Vegan options for those animal lovers who don’t want to kill god’s creatures but also don’t want to eat mud and grass. And for me…Green Curry at the extravagant Green Elephant. The kind waitress said, you want this spicy? I said lemme get a 2 spice. Spice scale goes to 5! 2 is good. I DID NOT want to cause a scene cause Spicey gets me riled up. Can’t embarrass our sweet boy he’s shy! Shyness isn’t bad this world needs all kinds of people. Be understanding and live life with love. So I sipped soda which was blueberries flavor. And not to belabor the point but next time I’ll sip from the bottle…too much ice in the glass. Like the North Sea. Him had gift card! 50 bucks. I loved the curry and caused a small scene!“
