The best curry in Portland. I really love this place

Their food has never failed me. Best to do takeout because though they have a few tables, the place is not really set up for sit-down service. Lots of interesting and tasty items in the market if you enjoy cooking. Service is efficient.

I'm very disappointed in the food at this establishment. I ordered crab Rangoons, pad Thai, fresh spring rolls, and Pad se ew. The crab Rangoons were over cooked and the crab meat was not very good. The pad thai was so fishy tasting I had to drown it in lemon juice to eat it. I ended up throwing half of it away. The pad se ew was dry, and bland. Completely trash. The fresh spring rolls were good. The prices were more affordable than other Thai restaurants, but I guess it's true. You get what you pay for.

The Pad Thai and Thai rolls are very good. The service is prompt. The place is also a store. They carry a variety of Thai goods. The place does mostly takeout.

good prices and hearty portions for thai classics, as well as an assortment of cooking needs (like the Right Kind of canned coconut milk) and other goods. the friendly faces and the charming vibe on top of that makes this place truly wonderful. stop in, tip well, and have the best priced pad thai in the city.

Best hidden gem in town for Thai food. Incredible prices!

An unassuming place with bold charm. The few places in this town that I find desirable. The other day, all i wanted was some tofu pad Thai. The market was closed and I was lost, all other conceivable options were dull and meaningless. Unfulfilled, I resigned myself to a bowl of cereal in darkness. How many restaurants have done this to you?P.S. the owner knits hats and sells them in the winter. I have four.

Food was delicious. I walked in and ordered and it was prepared very quickly, good size portion, and very reasonably priced! I got the Pad See Ew.

I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and it was delicious. Drunken Noodles were also excellent. Great place to order when you're in in the mood for takeout!

A reliable neighborhood Thai restaurant that has been a favorite of ours and our friends. Order your food no higher than medium spicy unless you genuinely have a high spice tolerance- they will take you to your limit! Whilst waiting for your order, you can browse the limited market space for select spices, pastes, dry and canned goods for cooking Thai dishes at home. If you decide to eat at one of the few tables offered for dining in, it is pretty basic, but serviceable. Their Laab Gai and Yum Nua are amongst my favorites.

Friendly local restaurant with authentic Thai cuisine. Not Americanized!

Didn't feel like cooking dinner and so I stopped at Vientiane on my way home from work. It's on my way home every day but I haven't been here in several years. I got the drunken noodles with chicken, something I often get at Thai restaurants. The price is on the low side compared to other places. Service was very, very quick. The food - I am eating it as I type - is really good. I think the sauce in the dish is usually a salty, soy-based sauce, which I like. But this is served with a fruity, somewhat spicy sauce. It's nice to try something different, though I think in the end I prefer the version I am used to.
