“Food is amazing and excellent quality. I have been eating here around 1998 and to this day still go eat here at least several times a year. The same people own it who owned it back then, so not much has changed. Atmosphere is nice, even when it is busy, very quiet probably owing to the soft classical music always being played.“
“Some really good food that will not end up as leftovers. I really dont care how a restaurant looks, but it you do then this place is nothing to be impressed about. They hardly manage the interior of their restaurant so i don’t recommend eating inside. Get take out and be amazed by flavor and modest prices relative to portion sizes!“
“Wow! This place is stunning. The atmosphere is very peaceful, and the food is innovative and delicious. I ordered the sichuan numbing wings and they were super fun, especially with a nigori sake. I ended up getting the veggie ramen with a side of sambal and it was absolutely delicious. Will be thinking about this meal for a long time!“
“My partner and I love this spot (it’s probably our most visited restaurant in Portland.) They have an extensive vegan menu and we particularly love the tofu skins and cloud mushrooms. The staff here is so nice and the atmosphere is great. We will continue to come back again and again.“
“10/10 5/5 perfect score all the way around. I’m new to the area and was recommended to try evergreen for Chinese. The portions are massive you order a large guess what. You get a large. They don't skimp on the food and you can order to your liking for a little extra. Huge fan of the ability to make things spicy on a 1-10 scale. My go to is the House Special Cantonese Noodles 10 on the spicy scale I could eat it all week. The wonton soup and crab rangoons are to die for. “Best Chinese food I've ever had. The place is always very clean, staff are wonderful, and the food comes fast. I love that all the food has its its own flavor. I usually don't like Chinese because I feel it all tastes the same, cooked in the same grease but this restaurant is totally different! I don't know what they use to cook the food in but it always tastes amazing and it's never too greasy. I love the fried shrimp with the coconut sauce! It's always perfectly crisp even with take out. The attention to detail and perfectly cooked food really makes this place stand out. So thankful this is a part of the Gorham community.Parking: This is a busy corner but they have their own parking lot which makes it so easy to get in and out“
“We were really excited to try this spot in Portland after perusing the must-try spots for dinner. Glad we stumbled upon this restaurant while we were researching, because it did NOT disappoint.Ambiance is trendy and fun, with decorative wood details, lots of plants, and mood lighting.The servers were very attentive to our needs, made suggestions, and were super friendly.And the best part, the food: we ordered the soup dumplings, pork pan fried dumplings, orange beef, duck lo mein, honey walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and lobster Rangoon. We ordered QUITE a lot for two people but it was all eaten. The soup dumplings had great flavor, great broth, and strong dumpling skin. However, I’m under the impression they weren’t handmade (no hole on top). Not a huge deal, but it was still super good. The honey walnut shrimp was CHUNKY! They were ginormous pieces—perfect for 2. The orange beef was so crispy, perfectly sauced and tender. But the superstar of the night was THE GREEN BEANS. You can taste the breath of the wok on the beans. They’re perfectly seasoned, charred, and had perfect crunchy bits of garlic.Can’t wait to come back during the summer months!“
“Sesame Chicken (lunch special) - This was a 4.5 out of 5. The sesame chicken was delicious and had large chunks of chicken. The crab rangoon was perfect - sweet and crunchy! For a lunch special, this was such a good deal and the price is great. The waiter was quick and ambiance was average. You're going to get exactly what you're ask for It's going to be cooked phenomenally and the flavors are going to be on point. “There are a couple of things to say about this establishment. The food is on point and the service is even better. I have ordered all three of the types of dinner here at this place, take-out, delivery and eat-in and not one single time was I disappointed. They are always super friendly and they food is always timely and fresh no matter how busy they may be. The prices are a little high but that is what I have come to expect for restaurants and establishments in downtown Portland. But, I will say that this is one of the places that I really don't mind paying more for because of the quality that I have experienced here with this place. If you are looking for delicious Asian fare, let this be one of the places that you try. I am super impressed and will be back multiple times again. Items to call out for massive deliciousness: Beef and green beans and the wings and their salad is a good one to add to it for some healthy fare as well.“
“The food was good. The tea tasted differently than what I remember. I can honestly say I've stuck with the rice dishes since the food has changed a bit over the years and some things just don't taste the same. When you're used to certain dishes and they don't taste like they used to it makes a difference for me. Been going to Happy Dragon for more than 35 yrs now. It's expected that food may change depending on the cook. Service is still great. Always friendly. Parking is definitely a challenge just watch the parking signs.“
“Best Chinese we've had!! We ordered a Pu Pu for 2 and Shrimp Lo Mein - didn't even have a chance to snag a picture because we dove right in (the aroma alone was mouth watering). The Crab Rangoons are scrumptious, I'm not a fan of crab meat but I'll eat a whole order of these, that's how good they are!!! Will definitely be back.“
“Smaller than I thought for dine in, only a few booths. You order from the counter and sit until they bring you your order. The food came out fast and was delicious. Portions were good. Several people in and out getting takeout from this place just after 5 pm. I'm pretty sure we were the only dine in while we were there.Parking: There were spots on both sides of the building (multiple businesses). I actually parked in the back, not realizing the entrance was on the other side.“
