We've rounded up South Portland's top Mexican spots for you to try.
“Yum! We ended up here bc El Corazon was closed when we wanted to go there, and what a serendipitous event! The chips and salsa are good, tableside guacamole is to die for, and the entrees are mucho delicioso! And they bring you these little dessert chips at the end too which is such a lil treat.“
“Delicious! Really delicious food outside of San Diego. Freshly made and they do not skimp out of filling/ or meats either. I got a carna asada to share while hubby got a carna asada burrito. All entree comes with salsa and chips . Food made from natural ingredients and none are salty as most take out place tends to be. Yes a little pricey but if you want fresh ingredients , quality ingredients ( tender and meaty carna asada) and mall rent , the price is just.“
“Amazing mexican food! I’m from NYC, and have had really good mexican food/birria tacos and this place lived up to the hype. The cheese dip was also amazing!! My only complaint was that there should have been more chips for the amount of cheese + the salsa. But it was still delicious and fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely order again when I’m in the area.“
“Great spot. And a favorite to go to. Food and drinks is always reliable. This is a counter order spot so service is minimal. One odd thing is you cant buy margaritas and beer at the counter you order food from and have to go to the bar. So unless you sit at the bar you order twice and have to work around the people eating/sitting at the bar. This could be streamlines but its a small issue.“
“Rosa's Enchiladas might be my favorite dish to get out in the greater portland area, but everything - the soup special, the crunchy fish in my partner's burrito, the housemade salsa with the chips - was so amazingly well above the standard. It's a cozy little comfy place to eat, and in the summer the backyard is really nice as well!“
