“Somehow we've been latecomers to NBO but oh boy is it a go to now. Love this place. Excellent food. Great bar. Great service. No pretense. Just simply great!”
“We held a birthday dinner here and absolutely loved everything served by our amazing host. Our host handled the entire process single handedly; reception, orders, serving, checkout… he did everything seamlessly, by himself. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this wonderful restaurant. Thank you so much to our excellent host!”
“What a hidden gem! We accidently stumbled on this, and were drawn in by the cozy, welcoming decor. Mr Right chose a rose ribbon strattacelli (gelato) and I had sweet cream gelato. Both were fabulous. I tried a sample of the rose ribbon which had an interesting floral taste. Didn't take pics of the food, loved the atmosphere!!”
“Pad Thai noodles were a little undercooked and the shrimp were big and de-tailed which I liked, but they were slightly overcooked. The family running this place were very nice and the atmosphere is very clean but very white and stark. Its not cozy and warm like many Asian restaurants. Probably most of the local business is take out where folks can eat in the comfort of their own home. When I'm in the area I will stop back and try another dish.”
“I love this bakery. I was so excited when it first opened. They keep a perfect variety of items from a sweet tooths dream to a cozy coffee pairing pastry. Even when I get in late and they are almost cleared out I can find something to satiate a craving.”
“Wiley's is a great add to Main St. A quick but relaxed lunch option that's tasty and a good value. I grabbed a chicken burrito to go and it was ready hot and great when i walked up. The man in the booth -- Wiley? I guess? -- is friendly and seems to really be into delivering quality. Thanks for being there, Wiley!”
“Excellent coffee & breakfast place! The coffees were good, and the foods were even better. The breakfast nachos were excellent, with tons of toppings, and the various scones & cakes were delicious. Highly recommend this place!”
“Love this place! Something for everyone! And they have gluten-free buns for their sandwiches and burgers. Great small bar to sit at and a cozy place to eat. Very good food. Fun bartender and great service but they get full and get a little slow with serving - no provider you’re not in a hurry!”
“My sister's and I had the pleasure of dining at The Dry Dock restaurant yesterday afternoon. The views from the restaurant of Rockland waterfront were amazing. Our meals and service were exceptional, best clam chowder around, great menu choices. However, the nicest feature of this restaurant is it's friendly and helpful staff. My sister has MS and we were struggling to get her in her wheel chair into the restaurant. The owner manager and staff came out quickly to assist us and get us safely into the restaurant while being able to maintain our dignity. It is so nice to know that there are kind people in the world who are ready and willing to help. Thank you to the staff and owner for a lovely meal and delightful afternoon celebrated with my sisters.”
“We stopped in to have lunch on our way through Maine. The staff was attentive and nice. We sat at the counter. Our lunch was delicious. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.Parking: There is a small lot for free cafe parking. There were only about 10 spaces or so.”
“The food is full of flavor and abundant. I always feel like I have received plenty for the money I have spent. I love their avocado tacos and the noodle bowl. So yummy! There is a creme they home make that adds a wonderful dimension to the flavors. Highly recommended this little take out.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian with protein option if you are not vegetarian, fish or chicken.Dietary restrictions: I have gluten allergies. Most items have the option of being gluten free.”
“Love the food here. Nothing is bad. I usually get a salad and try and call ahead if possible as they’re busy, especially summers and weekends year round. Would love to know the recipe for their salad dressing, so delicious!”
“I always do take out and call ahead. Food is always hot and very well made. They are very nice and prompt. The food is usually a little faster to come out than they estimate for takeout unless they’re busy, then it’s right on the dime.”
“We visited for dinner tonight for the first time in many years. Our experience was absolutely perfect, i had the short rib dinner and my wife had the filet and both dinners were spectacular, cooked perfectly and very creatively presented. What made the night more special was the extraordinary service provided by our waitress Susan and a very nice chat with Greg, the owner and a visit from the chef. We can’t say enough about our night out, i would highly recommend a visit. Did i mention they have an incredible bourbon list and Greg knows his bourbons!!!”
“Doesn't get much better than Wasses Hot Dogs! Had the Western Dog and the Kraut Dog. Western was probably one of the best hot dogs I've ever had. Worth stopping by if you're in the area!”
“Upon entering, you’re embraced by an atmosphere that’s as inviting as it is spacious. The menu is a testament to the chef’s dedication to her restaurant and created with excellence. The staff’s attentiveness is unparalleled, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth.I enjoy going back here because of the consistency in service, the delicious offerings and the exceptional dining experience. A must visit when you’re in the area”
“Today I had the best haddock chowder! It had large pieces of haddock, with a lovely buttery broth. Most haddock chowders at restuarants/cafes have mushy, small pieces of fish and are loaded with potatoes for fuller. Not so at Home Kitchen Bakery, which is the place to go for best haddock chowder! And it comes with a large, tasty biscuit!”
“I always enjoy my visits at Ada's, and feel the food quality is fantastic. Since they're a scratch kitchen, the majority of their food is from nothing - the staff are all extremely friendly, including the chefs and management. The pasta is absolutely divine, especially the ragu. I get so hyped up for the prosciutto pizza and the glazed carrots - they all taste fresh and lovely. My only piece of concern is that it can get loud, this is just due to the format of the space. It may get better if a decorative separation is added to split the bar from the rest of the restaurant.”
“Had a smashburger and Fry's they were excellent service was good atmosphere was awesome recommendedParking: Parking is right out front and around the corner of the building there's plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: When I arrived at the restaurant there was families there with their children eating”
“Recently, many people have been complaining about the cards outside on the counter of the order window being business cards. The cards themselves say 'Dorman's Dairy Dream Gift Card' on each individual card and also the container they are in is labeled as 'Gift Cards'. We do like to keep as many gift cards as possible unless someone is buying one so there isn't any confusion with the customer when they return to use an empty gift card. If at some point you have come and had any confusion about the gift cards on the counter, I am sorry. We hope to see you again soon.”
“You can either attend an event here, come for the pizza nights, or simply choose to not be living your best life. What an amazing spot! Not enough good words exist to frame how fun the broom making class was and how delicious the cardamon buns were. The only downside is I now have begun referring to the last bun as 'my precious' and hoarding it until I can get back for more!”
“This is an AMZING coffee shop! The atmosphere was great and there were great little places to sit and feet up with friends. The coffee was so good as well! Definitely recommend!”
“We dined here with our son and daughter in law. What a fabulous time. The service is quick and fun, atmosphere quaint and relaxing and the food was amazing. We had burgers, scallops, a couple bottles of wine, muscles, poutine and collards. We highly recommend all but the collards, they lacked seasoning and tasted odd. I can’t judge by one dish so overall the restaurants amazing. We’ll definitely make this a regular dining option.”
“Travel Nurse in Rockland and ordered a Sammy cheeseburger to-go as an out of towner, having no idea where I was going, and ended up staying to eat it fresh, and imbibe a delicious mezcal marg. Highly recommend for the food deliciousness, drink prep tastiness and qual, and overall ambiance. A+ 100% will go back whenever possible.”
“Absolutely LOVE affinity. They’re friendly, always starts conversations, comfortable environment, have a cute dog name Hazel who loves to socialize, definitely recommend!!❤️”
“A great spot for one drink or a whole meal. Bartenders are great and friendly, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. I’ve enjoyed all the various food I’ve had in my visits to boot.”
“Pretty good, a lil pricey, entree was very good, the pizza was a lil burnt, server a lil inattentive but very nice. Idk, nice spot definitely check it out. But don’t get the cannoli if you’re craving a genuine cannoli lol they aren’t anything like a real cannoli.”
“Truly the ideal splendor of a roadside food truck, with a staff that makes you feel not just welcome but back home. Maine hospitality doesn't begin to explain it, but the real kicker is how good the food is for such an affordable price. If you haven't been you're missing out that's the sum of it.”
“Came by recommendation to come here after lobster festival here in rockland. Cash only. It feels like an establishment here with a steady fan base and cheap hot dogs dressed how you'd like. Menu is simple and easy to follow. Very customizable. This joint 1 of 3 locations doesn't have fries. The bread was untoasted but steamed with a perfectly small and snappy dog. Try what you want and enjoy an affordable meal outdoors.”
“Good food. Improvements could be made to the pick up ordering process. I still had to wait in a long slow moving line when my food was sitting on the counter already made.”
