“We were visiting family in Maine for Thanksgiving and met our friends there for lunch. The food was excellent. I had clam chowder like never before, so light, but yet filling. I also had Crabmeat Quiche. It is right on the harbor. I recommend. Closing for the season this Sunday.”
“Such a great spot! Fantastic views, great service! The scallops were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the haddock was super fresh. the clam chowder is famous for a reason, with a flavorful broth and great clams. We loved our server, she was so sweet!”
“My husband and I love "For the Love of Food and Drink! We are "Regulars." The food is always excellent with a great menu. The owners are friendly, and their staff is outstanding. This is a "Wells" treasure!”
“Nice friendly place for breakfast. Only complaint would be the 2 additional .90 charges on the bill. Guess they were probably for sour dough toast and rye. Staff should NOT offer everything as if it's included, make it clear if there is an upcharge. I only wanted 1 piece of toast anyway, and ended up paying extra. Would have declined. They need to train staff...”
“We finally stopped in here recently and we were so overwhelmed, in a great way, at the slice options. Pizza is always a battle for us as we don't often like the same types. We got the sicilian slice and a spinach roll. Both were absolutely tasty. They were very busy with takeout orders but still go to ours rather quickly.Cannot wait to go back and try other things.”
“Seafood was really good, we had seafood combo with baked potato and salad. Amazing!! One chicken finger dinner, also amazing, lightly fried not greasy, very delicious. Also one of our party had the fried haddock sandwich with fries he was extremely happy with his meal. Last person had the terriyaki chicken wings and she was delighted with those as well. Waitress was extremely nice and pleasant. Will definitely be back.”
“I love coming here. The food is always great no matter what you get. Everyone is super friendly and it’s always clean.Vegetarian options: Plenty to chose fromParking: Plenty of spots however on certain days they can be packed which may make it a little harder to find a spot.Kid-friendliness: Everyone loved seeing my daughter.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp”
“My wife and I have dined at the Steak House numerous times and enjoyed our meal every time. The staff is very friendlyParking: There is a lot of parking but it fills up fast”
“Today's amazing lunch was at a fantastic spot, Chef Jacques Crepe and Chowder Wagon. We had clam chowder which was honestly the best I have ever had in my entire life!!! And I'm a New Englander! I love the tender chopped clams and delicately sliced fingerling potatoes and celery in a creamy clam chowder. It was seasoned perfectly. The crepes were just amazing. My spouse was lucky enough to get the last London broil, caramelized onion and horseradish sauce crepe and I had a Montecristo, turkey ham and Swiss crepe, drizzled with Maple syrup!Chef Jacques is a very friendly man with a good sense of humor too. We would recommend this food truck over most other area restaurants!”
“I stopped in for a bite to eat while on the road. My food was really good (had the tenders tossed in spicy BBQ), the beer was cold, and the bartender was nice. My only complaint is that I did not do as well at trivia as I had hoped!I will stop by here again next time I am in the area!”
“Came in for the day and nothing was open for lunch, except this place, and it was all we needed. Fireplace cranking, cool music, and great food for the money. If I didn't have to leave I would have stayed the whole afternoon.”
“Fricken awesome pub food! We tried the poutine made from house cut chips, an infused burger, and French onion soup and it was all just so dang good. They also do really fun trivia nights where you can have some grub with your friends and win some cool swag. If you are visiting Wells, definitely do not sleep on this place.Vegetarian options: Multiple meat-free options, including a ridiculously delicious French onion soup”
“I would say at least once a week we eat here. Absolutley love their food. Always fresh! Always delicious ?.Highly recommend ?Parking: I go to the Wells, ME location and there is ample parking....Kid-friendliness: I personally don't have children but I would say they are definitely "kid-friendly"Wheelchair accessibility: Most definitely accessible”
“I recently visited Batson River restaurant for the first time, and it was an absolute delight. Arriving a few minutes after opening on a Saturday, we were promptly seated amidst the festive and incredibly fun Christmas decor, setting the perfect mood for the season. The decorations alone made the visit worthwhile. The food matched the festive atmosphere. I had the mussels and smoked haddock chowder, both had a rich and flavorful taste. The "Zero Proof" mocktail and non-alcoholic beer selection were a pleasant surprise, providing excellent alternatives. Our waitress, Nicole, was not only attentive but also exceptionally kind, adding to the overall positive experience. I'm looking forward to my next visit!”
“So friendly , warm and professional here. The food is excellent. The interior is nicely designed, open and comfortable. Thai iced tea is a winner. Owned by a Thai family and the service is way above expectations.”
