These people know what they are doing. Meats are always moist and never dry. Mac and cheese is on point. Customer service is always spectacular and the place is clean head to toe. Always on my list when I visit Ann Arbor.
Good food and surprisingly available for a busy Saturday night. We were happy to get a table for twelve on short notice. The brisket was superb. Sides were middling--good, not great. But everyone loved the meat, even if the cornbread wasn't exceptional.

I'm gonna keep this short, sweet, and to the point. I've been going to this Satchels for a few years now. It's the worst location if you're driving because there is about 3 parking spots so I suggest parking a little farther and just walking there. Onto the food.. The Shelley plate is 3 sides for $5. GET IT. The cornbread, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes are so good. Yes girl, I am all about the carbs. Sometimes if I'm feeling extra good, I'll get two sides of mac and cheese...read full review
