Drive thru only. As the sign says, chicken but also catfish, smelt, clams, etc. Impressive selection of sides. Been driving past them for years watching the cars in the drive up lane stretch into the street. Finally stopped for 3 chicken dinners. WELL, so long KFC. Goodbye, Popeye's. A very small place that has a huge appetite punch! Only on remaining Kiel's Chicken Coop in Battle Creek. Like many places during COVID, they were pretty affected in 2020. And inflation has of course driven up their prices a bit.That said, they've held prices better than most. This is drive-thru only since COVID, so only 3 stars for atmosphere..Your car! Open Tue-Sat, this is our favorite go-to for fried chicken. It is awesome! Sides typically very good, no 'old-oil' taste, the owner is a stickler for quality. Fish is equally good, chicken tenders, shrimp dinners and baskets. Lots more, with excellent assortment of sides. I always tip, because I appreciate how hard they've all earned thru COVID, and every day! Enjoy!
