Lots of variety and generous portions.Just want to give a shout out to whoever was working Sunday (9/10/23) around 4ish. She was by herself and all of a sudden there was a big rush. She handled it with grace, a smile, did not get flustered, and was super apologetic about the wait. I was thrilled to see her get help as we finished our ice cream as it was a steady line of 7 or 8 people for the hour or so we were there.”

“The calamari was perfect, the mussels were average, the crab cakes were good but all finely shredded no lump crab, some what disappointed with that. Salmon was perfect, tartar sauce just ok,( we like a more tart sauce with fresh dill, capers, and pickles) as was the green beans and rice. Great Caesar salad and dinner rolls. Samantha our waitress was spectacular. We would definitely go back again.”

Robert greeted us as if we were already family, Ado made stellar recommendations, you really can’t get this garlic sauce and bread anywhere else, and the entrées hit the spot. “Love the environment, our waiter was amazing. He explained all the selections we were Interested in, and the meals we choose were the swordfish and the wagyu sirloin. Each was fabulous! I also explained the wine I like and he made sure he brought me the perfect one. For dessert we had bourbon apple crisp. Which was the best dessert I’ve ever had! We will definitely be back”

“My family and I visited Grand Rapids for a weekend. I saw this restaurant recommended on Tiktok so thought we'd give it a try. On Friday, we got there around 8:20pm. On Google it says her restaurant closes at 10. We walked in and waited a few minutes before a young man was sent to tell us that she (the owner) was not taking anymore orders and would he closing at 8:30. Okay, maybe the time was wrong on Google. No biggie, we decided to go again the next day. We got there around 3:30pm. Upon walking in, I smiled at the owner and said hello. She looked at me with a rude face and did not greet us. A few minutes later she asked across the restaurant if we had reservations. I answered no. Did not see anything about reservations being required when looking online. She continued working and we continued to wait by the door. After a few minutes, she came to us and said if you want to eat here, it will be slow service, is that okay? And we told her we're okay and left. Now I understand she was busy, but both days we were not treated with warmth or felt like we were welcomed in the restaurant. The other customers she interacted with were treated kindly from what we saw. I personally feel like she does not care for black Americans, which sucks because we were trying to support her black business.”

“Amazing experience. They were incredibly sweet when we ordered on the phone and when I arrived the lady was really friendly. She asked me about my day and job and just genuinely kept me engaged in easy conversation while they finished up. We ordered subs and they were divine. The ham and cheese was exactly what you want in a ham and cheese, and the buffalo chicken was incredible. The salad was delicious too. Definitely our new sub spot.”

“So, we couldn't wait to a better time to leave a review... so doing it in the Parking lot. For a "Chipotle'esk" type of BBQ restaurant, it checks ALL of your Smokehouse cravings, even down to the Sauces. The atmosphere and the huge emphasis and appreciation for our armed forces is what starts to set this place apart from any of its peers. Humbled in hospitality and taking care of its patrons of all creeds and backgrounds is where this place shines. Brennan (I believe was his name), the floor waiter, was one of those gentleman that you wish you could just duplicate and fill your staff with. That's not saying the rest of the staff don't rank up there, because they do, but let's just say this... our youngest (5yr) felt so special in this place she wanted to go back to the counter and thank all the staff/cooks who prepared her food. So in closing, to the owners/staff of Mission BBQ, keep doing what your doing...there no "rough" anymore, just a Diamond! Stay blessed!”

I always love how much peanut butter they put on my bagel and their coffees never disappoint especially for someone who doesn’t like the super strong coffee flavor they make it on the sweet side and even through a delivery service they always make it consistently and correctly! You can’t beat the prices either!”
