We stopped in before going to a Pistons game and weren't from the area. we were very impressed with the speed of service and taste of the food. “So... I never knew about this place for brunch. Wow, one of the better brunches I've had period.We had the shrimp and grits and the vegan biscuits and gravy. To sum our meal up...as the kids would say...it slapped!! It was so damn good.The shrimp and grits came with two polenta cakes. Then smoothed in a creamy sauce, topped with a pile of shrimp and bacon. You can't go wrong! The shrimp had a Cajun seasoning on them that tasted great with the cream sauce. The grilled toast points was a perfect addition to soak up some of the sauce.I only sampled some of the vegan biscuits and gravy. From what I tasted the gravy was rich and flavorful. The tofu scramble was seasoned well and it had a nice mix of peppers and onions it tasted pretty good.Overall I highly recommend this place for bunch.“
“Stopped in today before a show at St. Andrew's. I haven't been there since the 80's when it was The Golden Gallion.Steven behind the bar was welcoming and friendly. The Beer Was Cold and the Popcorn was delicious. “The New York Strip special on Tuesday is fabulous and a great value! Delroy is working the grill and makes your steak to order. Although I am likely in the minority, I love my steak blue rare and Delroy doesn't disappoint. Overall, the bar has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and a wonderful group of people who regularly come to hang out.“

“Have come here a few times since moving to Detroit. It's in a very old mostly abandoned industrial part of the city along the Detroit River, made better by nice new development nearby, adjoining a portion of the beautiful Detroit River Walk, and on a strip near the Atwater Grill with other businesses. Very nostalgic looking business whose interior including bathrooms have certainly seen better days, but made comfortable by the nice wait staff and VERY HOSPITABLE owner who is most always available and a pleasure to chat with. Generally speaking the food here is very good. I'd call this a must visit little foray into old Detroit, where you can get a nice meal and drinks well off the beaten path. I like it.“

“The Jspot had everything we were looking for a safe , close in proximity, good vibe place for a quick night out. Wing Wednesday was just right the wings were flavorful and only$1. The bartender made my drink just off what I told her I liked and it packed a punch. The dj kept good music going and they have two pool tables. It's a cheers vibe were everyone was welcoming and chill. The dance floor is a bit small however I love the mirrors by the dance floor.“
“Cutter's was a good choice when I was craving a burger. Had some friends tell me about it and I had to go try their Stuffed Burger to see what it was about. The hype was validated, it was nice and juicy and hit the spot. Service was attentive and vibes were good. The only knock is that the fries were kind of meh but the burger absolutely made up for it. Will definitely be back to Cutter's to try some of the other good-looking things on the menu.“

“Banger! Sundays are standing room only. If you’re not there as soon as they open, you’re probably gonna have to stand or possibly not get in. This place was nice. Neighborhood vibe, safe, fun and super entertaining. The DJ was jammin all night long, watching folks ballroom and hustle was exciting watch. My car was safe with the parking attendants out front, and well lit. Check them out, you won’t regret it.“

“Over 25 crowd (most patrons were 40s +). There is a $15 minimum to use a card so if you're just having 1 drink, bring cash. No cover. Pool tables and bar. I was told they no longer sell food at this Bar & Grill but I didn't confirm if the kitchen closes very early, is temporarily closed or closed indefinitely. There is outdoor space and also a food truck up the alley behind the businesses on Grand River. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating. It's not huge but there was a perfect number of people to enjoy yourself and not be crowded with people breathing COVID unknowingly. Old school music with some hustle tracks thrown in. I would go back.“
“We had a great dinner experience. The many other reviews recommending the soft pretzel w/ beer cheese sauce are right on; it is one of the best pretzels ever. The burger with fries, and chicken wrap were good as well. The service was very friendly and speedy. We will definitely revisit!“
