Supino Pizzeria Reviews

My favorite pizzeria to grab a slice when in the area, driving past of driving near of. They ARE that good. You’ll usually have to wait if grabbing more than a couple slices but ALWAYS worth the wait. Big Blue out.Parking: Parking can get quite hectic at all times due to it being downtown and right next to the farmers market. But there is plenty of parking it just boils down to what time you arrive and how patient you can be at times.

For those of you who don't know, Supino is a little town in Italy, 45min south of Rome. With a population of 5000 people, it is a beautiful town in the mountains with one of the most famous mountains in Italy "Santa Serena". I live in the US but grew up in Supino. The pizza is really good, it's the Roman-style pizza, thin, crispy, good mozzarella and good tomato sauce. It would be cool to see a big landscape picture of Supino on the wall. I'm happy to send one if you would like.

Although not quite New York-style pizza, Suppino is definitely a great alternative to much of the pizza-like product largely available in Southeast Michigan. The pizza here is super thin; at first, I wasn't sure, but the more I ate of it, the more I liked it. The staff here was also incredibly friendly. In the heart of the Eastern Market, Suppino is a pretty good dining option in Detroit.
