“This is one of the cutest Starbucks I've ever visited. When I walked in all three baristas gave me such a friendly welcome and we all had a lovely chat about the historical building (so sad I didn't think to snap a photo before I left, the facade is gorgeous and the little terrace adorable) and a good natured laugh at my partner still being afraid to order for himself after 14 years. The orders were correct and timely, and overall just such a nice experience in such a small and cute Starbucks location.”

“I've been wanting to try this place since it opened in 2020 but haven't had the chance until now and it is so good! They have a wide selection of shakes, juices, teas and more. I got the Oreo shake and it had 24 grams of protein plus was super tasty. Perfect for a post workout snack/meal. They order both vegan and whey proteins too. There is a new owner and he is extremely nice--he let me come in to order even though they were closed. The store is decorated very cute too with trendy seating and decorations. Would highly recommend!”

“Ashley, the new GM, is beyond amazing. I have had a sinus cold for about 3 weeks and she was incredibly knowledgeable about fruits/veggies that help heal the immune system. I wanted a smoothie l, but the suggested beverage for healing was a juice. She suggested adding banana so I could get the best of both worlds. Aside from that she truly cares about you as a person and is so excited to provide a product that betters your health and well being! I will always come back to this location. Haha, maybe even call ahead to see if she is working. I know she will be able to create a dynamic team/environment for staff and guests! “The calamari was perfect, the mussels were average, the crab cakes were good but all finely shredded no lump crab, some what disappointed with that. Salmon was perfect, tartar sauce just ok,( we like a more tart sauce with fresh dill, capers, and pickles) as was the green beans and rice. Great Caesar salad and dinner rolls. Samantha our waitress was spectacular. We would definitely go back again.”

“As a Bangladeshi here in Grand Rapids, I am always on the lookout for South Asian restaurants in town! Madras is a new Indian spot that my parents (the ultimate South Asian food critics) have been raving about since they opened - so I finally had the chance to try it out myself! I was so satisfied by this meal. I thought everything we got was full of flavor, and you can tell that the food is being freshly made. We started out with the Masala Dosa, Gobi Manchurian, and the Chicken Pakoda. Soo good! The dosa had the perfect crispiness, my mouth is watering as I write about it And the spice level was also perfect! For entrees we got paratha with the butter chicken and kadai chicken. Altogether, this was more than enough food for the four of us. The chai and the carrot halwa were also the perfect combination to end the meal. The restaurant is clean and the service was extremely attentive and efficient. I look forward to coming back and trying more from the menu!”

“Wow. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff (Robert and Ado in particular) are all outstanding. Robert greeted us as if we were already family, Ado made stellar recommendations, you really can’t get this garlic sauce and bread anywhere else, and the entrées hit the spot. The portion sizes were so generous that we have a full meal ready for lunch tomorrow. We will be back. Thank you for being exactly what two tired parents who didn’t want to cook needed tonight.”

“Love the environment, our waiter was amazing. He explained all the selections we were Interested in, and the meals we choose were the swordfish and the wagyu sirloin. Each was fabulous! “Our family loves Coffee Clubhouse! We have been members here for a few months now and make weekly visits. We love having a safe, clean, and fun place to play. They do such a great job at re-arranging the space, rotating toys, and always keeping this space exciting and never overwhelming! We drive 25 minutes every week to keep this wonderful space a part of our weekly routine❤️ We also love the punchcard member perks! Thanks for such a wonderful space for my kiddos to play, and this mama to relax with a cup of delicious coffee! (The only thing I wish they did offer is reusable Coffee Clubhouse tumblers that I could have filled instead of putting hot coffee in a plastic coated cup, but that’s just a personal preference)”

“My family and I visited Grand Rapids for a weekend. I saw this restaurant recommended on Tiktok so thought we'd give it a try. On Friday, we got there around 8:20pm. On Google it says her restaurant closes at 10. We walked in and waited a few minutes before a young man was sent to tell us that she (the owner) was not taking anymore orders and would he closing at 8:30. Okay, maybe the time was wrong on Google. No biggie, we decided to go again the next day. We got there around 3:30pm. Upon walking in, I smiled at the owner and said hello. She looked at me with a rude face and did not greet us. A few minutes later she asked across the restaurant if we had reservations. I answered no. Did not see anything about reservations being required when looking online. She continued working and we continued to wait by the door. After a few minutes, she came to us and said if you want to eat here, it will be slow service, is that okay? And we told her we're okay and left. Now I understand she was busy, but both days we were not treated with warmth or felt like we were welcomed in the restaurant. The other customers she interacted with were treated kindly from what we saw. I personally feel like she does not care for black Americans, which sucks because we were trying to support her black business.”

Even if you aren't a mutant like me and can eat gluten, the food here is delicious despite being gluten free. It's not just "oh that's good for being gluten free", it's just good. Period. “Amazing experience. They were incredibly sweet when we ordered on the phone and when I arrived the lady was really friendly. She asked me about my day and job and just genuinely kept me engaged in easy conversation while they finished up. We ordered subs and they were divine. The ham and cheese was exactly what you want in a ham and cheese, and the buffalo chicken was incredible. The salad was delicious too. Definitely our new sub spot.”

“What a lovely dining experience! The food was fresh, and so generously portioned! Delicious flavors. We enjoyed our kabobs and the saffron rice; one of our party got the chicken sandwich wrap which was out-of-this-world delicious! The lentil tomato soup was also lovely— warm flavors and a big bowl to enjoy. The bread and the dipping sauce (cucumber??) before the meal was also wonderful— we devoured every last bit. Yum!!! My favorite personally was the baklava, which was delicate, flaky, packed with filling and perfectly balanced. No gooey, syrupy baklava here— just perfection. I cant wait to order a chicken sandwich and piece of baklava again soon! (Ooh, and we had PLENTY to take home— bring your appetite). Gorgeous atmosphere and a really kind, hospitable staff — from the owner to our server, everyone made us feel right at home.
