“Amazing how it has grown. Yet, as one of their biggest supporters in the past 20 years I no longer enjoy their beer. They joined the bandwagon on cans only. The only one that benefits from can only is the investor in my opinion. I do enjoy filling my growler on occasion.”
“Ames Street Cafe is the best in town! From breakfast, lunch to the yummiest baked goods you'll ever taste. Don't miss out when you are in the Traverse and Elk Rapids area.”
“Blown away by the flavors that are absorbed in the doughs! Real apples in the fritters, sweet cherries for the danishes, nice crisp on the out sides of the doughnuts and Hugh smiles from the ladies behind the counter. People are always coming and going from the shop so hurry in before they run out!”
“Ethanology is always a great spot to grab a cocktail. Their menu is always really creative and they source local ingredients to make their drinks and spirits. The bartender today gave us two tastings of their gin and barrel aged gin after chatting about it. Everyone who works here is always very personable and passionate about the spirits. My husband and I are not fans of gin typically, but we would definitely drink the gin here. We always love to sit in the loft area with some games and cool decor.”
“Pearle's is a must try if you are in the Elk Rapids area. Their Cajun cuisine is excellent! Be sure to try the collard greens, fried green tomatoes, and crawfish cakes for starters. The bronzed shrimp dinner is one of my favorites. The fried chicken salad rocks too.Their traditional Cajun favorites like jambalaya or ettoufe are authentic and very well done.Don't like spicy? Their pot roast and fried chicken dinners are anything but ordinary and second to none. There are po boys and muffalettas for less spicy choices too. They even have a spicy bloody Mary with a crawfish and stuffed jalapeno in it.The atmosphere is casual and upbeat. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable.Don't miss it!”
“Perfect quick stop for lunch, good to grab a slice of pizza and a soda. Seating indoors or outside behind the restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was ?”
“We were in town for the polar Express and stopped in for a bite, the staff were very friendly and kind and the pizza was phenomenal. Great place to stop on and fill your belly definitely will not disappoint.”
“I was overwhelmed with gratitude when stopping into the Dam Shop yesterday. The attentive service offered by Mike the manager and other employees was pleasantly surprising. Mike was extremely welcoming and took extra time and effort to accommodate my daughter’s food sensitivities. Also, we have ALWAYS had wonderful experiences with the baristas - Sarah, Emily and Audi - love them! Their friendly and helpful nature goes a long way. My daughter and I love the coconut milk option for lattes. We just love this place for so many reasons. The DAM shop all the way!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to food allergies and sensitivities.Parking: Very easy parking in their own private lot”
“How have we missed this place? So glad we stopped in to try Chang Express. The server was nice and did such a great job explaining the sauces and dishes. We ordered one dish and told her to surprise us with one of her favorites. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Rice was great, the hotness was perfect for me at a level 5. We are already talking about going back to try some other dishes. So glad we made the stop.”
“Great pizza and salads - our weeknight go to with them being open later than other places in ER. And they just started serving breakfast sandwiches which are delicious and very affordable (similar price to the gas station's sad sandwiches). And for the midwesterners that need to know, they have good ranch :) lol”
“For more than 50 years the Town Club has been serving Elk Rapids fine good and drink. The renovation is fantastic, modern with small town charm. Just had dinner 4/24/23, still great. Try the Home Run burger!”
“Had dinner with family at the Foundry Craft Grillery in Elk Rapids. Food was delicious and our server was wonderful. They had a trivia night and we participated and it was fun. A great experience and looking forward to going back sometime soon ? my first time here. Yall made a great impression on me. ”
“This place is right off of 131, we visited in the off reason and mostly had the place to ourselves. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning (food splashes on the wall of the booth and artwork), the menu is a bit expensive ($20 for a burger) but overall our food was good. The salmon was slightly overcooked and the presentation could have been better, but it’s a great location with a nice ambiance.”
“First off, the greeting at arrival is outstanding! We were welcomed at our table promptly and offered water and a drink option, we loved all the local selections. To say the meal was fabulous is an understatement! I highly recommend the scallops and risotto. Everything was just fantastic and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait for our next visit.”
“What a great visit today with Ernest! Had not been here in a couple of years and we wished we had started there today. Would have spent the entire day there. Ernest was fun, welcoming and did not rush us even though we got in close to closing time. Wine was phenomenal and Ernest was even better! Until next time!❤️”
“We love stopping here for a beer and a good game of Pinball! There are only a few machines, but its always fun. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and the beer is great!Kid-friendliness: There are games for the kids and big tables for big families!”
“I was ordering a gift certificate over the phone for a private tasting and Jacob made the process extremely simple & was very helpful. He gave great details on the whole process which was much appreciated since this was for a gift. Wonderful guest service!”
“That'sa Pizza is hands down the best pizza in tc. But the Acme store is always on point everyone there is super friendly and always in a good mood And they also have the very very best antipasto salad. It does not matter what you get it is all awesome. But my suggestion get extra cheese on any pizza....”
“My wife and I took a little trip to 2 Lads on a day of visiting several wineries. We were very impressed with the breathtaking views and friendly customer service we received!”
“This was a nice place of respite. The ciders were good, the views were incredible, and the staff were very nice. I wish they had food available when we went. Otherwise it was a great experience!”
“One of the best Mexican food in town! They’re at the little fleet for December and we tried their special torta, it was AMAZING my husband and I kept talking about it all day! Follow them on instagram to always know where they are!”
“We recently partnered with Mission Proper to host a social event for our nonprofit. Jen, the owner, and Andrew, the manager, extended warm and generous hospitality to our group. They both went above and beyond to welcome us, and their efforts contributed to a vibrant gathering. Everyone who sampled the food that was served raved about how good it was! We had an amazing event and we look forward to partnering with Mission Proper again in the future.”
“Absolutely incredible, authentic Mexican food. The taco Pollo grande with Just chicken and veggies, very big, very awesome. Compliments toWheelchair accessibility: Yes it is”
“Amazing food, incredible service. it was pretty loud, but that doesn't matter I would go back again anytime. Thanks McGee's 72. Keep up the great workDietary restrictions: Plenty of Pescatarian options.Parking: Large self parking lot”
“I loveeee the sandwiches here, my family makes it a point of coming every year we're on the peninsula. U customize which is very fun, and the bread and spreads are great. I do wish they had a vegetarian protein option, but otherwise it is perfect”
“Wonderful dinner and service, thank you to everyone from Meagan and Linda at the front hostess stand to our server Nate and everyone in the kitchen that prepared our meal. Shrimp cocktail appetizer, salads and walleye were prepared perfectly and tasted great, thank you for everything you do!”
“Old mansion has some ghostly tails which may not even be true after all. With that said that place ghost’s stories or not is still a spooky place. No one has a bad thing to say about the food or the drinks. Staff is great , very helpful.”
“Just a heads up for vegetarians that they don't do the Impossible Burger anymore. You can have them leave meat off of some of the other menu items, but they no longer have anything specifically for vegetarians.”
“I love this place. Very rarely do you get to experiencing a paired tasting at an affordable price. Every employee was enthusiastic about the brand and was very knowledgeable. Nothing is worse than going to a winery/brewery/distillery and the server has no clue about the label. Will be returning! Please check this place out!!!”
