“Brooklyn was great, offered suggestion of a drink "June bug" it was awesome. The best spinach artichoke dip and pita chips I have ever had. Great atmosphere and servers are very attentive and friendly. I will be coming back next time in town. “
“My first visit, I tried their Sesame Chicken Poutine for the Michigan Street Poutine Challenge. Wish I could've gotten the gravy to go, lol. TastyAlso got the Shot of the Day: American Tea & it was cocktail sized.Had a nice time dining & talking to the bartender/chef.“
“Charlie's has to be one of my favorite places to eat ever. Super friendly staff, Charlie herself comes by every single time. Wait staff and bartenders are all great. Tracy was our server tonight, possibly the best service we've ever had! The food was also great, especially the mussels and the potato skins. Fried pollack is hand breaded. Smelt battered in house too. Kids Mac and cheese, Charlie brings candy for the kids. What's not to love? If we could, we'd go every week.“
“Absolutely brilliant place that we found by chance whilst exploring Grand Rapids. They are dog friendly, unlike nearly everywhere else nearby, so our greyhound laid by our table and was given a piece of bacon by the staff! The service was fantastic and attentive, including drinks suggestions. The food was delicious and we couldn't finish it all because the portions were so generous. Generally a great atmosphere, and we wouldn't hesitate to come back next time we're in GR!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in at rear entrance.“
“First time going, and I will be back.Great selection of menu items. It was what I was expecting, based on other reviews. I ordered the shrimp salad, and couldn't have been better. My wife had the tacos and loved them. I would definitely recommend this place.“
“I had potatoe skins and pork rinds. They were tasty. Service was a bit slow. The atmosphere was fine.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Not a lot of gluten-free options. Wouldn't advise if one is Celiac or hyper sensitive to gluten.Parking: Large parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Disability parking spaces and ramp access.“
“This is definitely one of the best hometown bars I have been to. We were "newbies" but still made to feel welcome. The staff was on top of everything and very friendly. Definitely looking forward to attending Chruch at the Birch on Sunday.“
“Went to HopCat on St. Patrick’s day weekend during Irish on Ionia. The place was crazy busy but our bartender, Kasey was efficient, patient and so kind. She never made us feel rushed even with how much she had going on. Great service! Thank you Kasey!! ?“
“Junkyard Rueben was best I've ever had. Garlic Aioli instead of thousand island was phenomenal. Hot honey chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries was fantastic. Great beer selection. Natalie was our server and she was nice, attentive, quick and helpful on picking out selections.“
“Holidays are hard if they hit capacity before you arrive. Go early. Miss the days where there were reservations available but post-covid...adjust positively right?! Plan ahead.Parking: Again, they pack it in. Everyone loves THB. Ditto, me too!! Go early. If you go during bar hour, plan to be patient looking for a parking spot.“
“Awesome dive bar in downtown GR. Close to Van Andel so it’s perfect for drinks and food prior to a game or show. Service was great and very friendly. We asked for other dive bars in the area and all 3 servers were quick to suggest places and make “
“Great vibes. The burgers can be made gluten free and do taste excellent! Be mindful because the burgers come with a fried onion ring, breadcrumbs in the patty, and beer battered fries. All need to be substituted, but our waitress was really helpful. The gf bun isn't advertised anywhere on the menu that I could find. Only came in based on a review that mentioned it. Here's a really gross picture of my half eaten burger:Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bun option“
“hopcat has the BEST BEST BEST fries EVER!!! they are so amazing!? my family would come here just for the fries, but their other food is delish too? fast, friendly service, and the atmosphere is always nice! i like their beer cap wall too?Dietary restrictions: came here with the intent to eat healthy(healthier?) but, their fries made me break? although they do have some good healthy options...“
“The other day was the first time I was able to eat at this restaurant. But I have driven past it many times and have had many friends speak highly of this restaurant. I went in yesterday and was served by a friendly waitress who was highly professional and the food was right. Quick, a great menu, and I loved my dinner. I will most definitely be back to Cheers. As a side note being middle-aged and having grown up as a child watching Cheers television show. I know one has nothing to do with the other. But boy boy did it bring back some nostalgia which I hadn't thought of in years. And so I thank Cheers the restaurant for doing that as well.“
“The new owners have done a great job in sprucing up the place without changing its neighborhood feel! The food has improved also..always providing specials that add to the original menu. Give it a "chance"..it won't be your last!!“
“Different foods than the usual fare. ? this place is like midpoint between ? Applebee's and Ruth Chris. Our foursomes total was 220 including drinks, excluding tip.. so around $50 per person. The ambiance was warm and inviting... not ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but definitely not ⭐️⭐️⭐️ either. I'd say a solid 4 ⭐️'s .I hurried tried the pumpkin stuffed pasta. Basically it's a pumpkin ? ravioli .Wife had the steak. Both were awesome. If you're looking for a new place... this is it.Vegetarian options: ? Ravioli“
“I loved this place. It's really beautiful inside. The bar is in the rear and pool tables and shuffleboard in the front. It has the feel of a private club but it's friendly and down to earth. The bartender was beautiful and so very engaging. This would be a great place to bring a date. It's a "Cheers" kind of place where you can sit with a drink and the patrons interact. Or you can sit and chill quietly. This is a place a woman can come alone and be perfectly safe.Nestled in a neighborhood, this is a gem. Parking is to the right of the building. If full, you can park on the street. This night there was a kids party at one of the houses so there were more than normal cars parked on the street. I would have taken a picture of the bar but I don't take photos of people for privacy reasons. It's cool-trust me.“
“Really good burgers. Very slow service. Fries were also good.Pretty empty restaurant and the server was nice enough, just not very attentive at allVery cool place. It's inside a giant old industrial building just north of downtown Grand rapids. And on Monday nights, burgers are $5 off!Great deal! Probably even better when they are served hot.“
“I just discovered Tip Top! Went to see one of my favorite bands there. What an AWESOME place and what AWESOME people. The atmosphere is spot on. The perfect venue to see a performance. Food and drinks were great The staff treated us like regulars, like they've know us for years. I live an hour and a half away but will DEFINITELY be returning often! Thanks for the experience!“
