“A cozy restaurant with small town charm! We were immediately greeted at the door with smiling faces and the service was amazing from start to finish. The food tasted fresh and came out quickly, piping hot! Be sure to get the Bali Bali beef!! All of it was excellent and we will be back!“
“Four B’s for tonight! Brittney Bennett Best BartendersGreat evening, great food, great drinks! We love the Ma Po Tofu & Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps! We hope they never go away, our absolute favorite dishes.Great spot before a movie or date night!Vegetarian options: Great options!“
“When it comes to Chinese food, its a hit and miss. I've been to highly rated places that were gross, and low ratings that were decent. Sometimes they're spot on. I decided to give this place a try.I must say, this place is delicious! Food was hot and fresh, and flavorful. Really good! And pricing is on par for dinner menu its worth the visit and I'll definitely be coming back. General tso!“
“Easily the best in Grand Rapids. Hands down. Family owned, and you can tell. Been eating here for 20 years and nothing else compares.Orange ChickenEmpress ChickenEgg RollsCrab cheeseHaven’t deviated from those because I’ve never been disappointed.Thank you Three Happiness!Germain Family“
“Very kind and quick service here. Got the green curry and vegetable steamed dumplings. It was delicious and lasted me for several meals. The restaurant was extremely clean. Seems like a popular place for takeout as there were lots of people coming in to pick up orders.“
“I ordered the Mongolian Beef combination meal. Even though I ate in, I had to order from the front counter and the food was served in to-go packaging. I was left to get my own eating utensils and condiments. They have a VERY small selection of canned or bottled sodas. The first thing I noticed was that the gravy had been overthickened with corn starch/arrow root powder to the point of being gelatinous. In addition, the beef was of a consistency of having been way to tough to start and severely overboiled to tenderize it. Other than these issues, the depth and quality of flavor easily overcame the previously mentioned shortcomings. The amount of heat was perfect. Sadly though, no fortune cookies are included in the meal. If it hadn't been for the great flavors, I would have rated my visit with three stars instead of four. It is also the reason that I would go back and try other menu items. Next time I will avoid the beef and order chicken.“
“The best for everything!1. Delicious pho,...Big portion with a lot of meat!2. Clean food and pho always served hot3. Chilli oil always provided on the table, you can take as much as you want, vegies too!4. Cheapest with a good quality, compare than the other pho rest around GR area5.. I went there every week, sometimes I went with my friends oftenly.“
“4.7/5 StarsThe service was absolutely excellent! Very fast and helpful. The environment and atmosphere were also excellent. Very clean. The food was amazing and came out fresh and quick also. The only reason it's not a 5 star is that a few of the people I had dine in with didn't not enjoy the food they had ordered. On a side note, this fried rice is the best around, and the portion sizes are HUGE!“
“You can’t find better Chinese food in Grand Rapids! I’m vegan, my partner is not. Rice Wok takes care of us both! The food is always YUMMY! I usually get the Szechuan Bean Curd (tofu) and vegetables. Today, I ordered Szechuan broccoli and carrot, no tofu, just for a change. I always get extra spicy-hot. If you’re vegan (or not) I highly recommend Rice Wok!!Vegetarian options: Rice Wok cooks vegetables and tofu to perfection.Dietary restrictions: Great place for vegans and vegetarians.“
“I wanted sushi and discovered a sushi spot in Grand Rapids. I decided to order a special roll, regular roll, soup, and appetizer. This was my first time using Uber Eats, and when the food arrived, it was still hot and the packaging was excellent. They provided plenty of utensils, sauce, and napkins. The volcano roll and Godzilla roll were both incredible. My husband enjoyed the gyoza and salmon roll, but did not like the miso. (I love them btw) Overall, it was a perfect experience and definitely worth the price. We highly recommend this place.“
“Fu Garden is not what you expect from a small Chinese take-out restaurant. The vegetables are always fresh and crunchy, the chicken is tender eating with no gristle. It's all flavored very well by a chef who really knows how to balance flavors. Lots of food for the money here, too, I don't know how they do that.“
“Love this place so much! My family and I have to talk ourselves out of eating here several times a week bc we have food at home. We still end up here once a week. They have an amazing Szechuan menu that is our fav (dry pot, hue noodle soup, etc) but their reg Chinese food rocks, too. Probably my favorite crab rangoon this side of the Mississippi. Overall top spot for Chinese/Szechuan food in the area.“
“This restaurant is super cozy, and the staff was friendly. Service and food were quick. I got the cashew chicken, Crab Rangoon, and the pot of tea. We were given a pot of rice to share. The tea was really good. The crab Rangoon was a little bland but it was piping hot and crispy. The dinner portions are generously sized. The cashew chicken was delicious and the chicken very tender. Will definitely be back again!“
“This is one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to. All the rolls are made fresh and the specialty rolls are pretty decent in size. All you can eat sushi will leave you feeling full after 3 rolls. The staff and the waitresses are super helpful and provide great hospitality.Don’t believe others when they complain about the long wait times. If you want something quick and fast then go to McDonald’s. Sushi making is an art and takes time. Even though at times they may seem short staffed, they still put maximum effort to make sure each roll is made with love. Would come here again with my family.“
“I love this Restaurant! The Food is delicious, this is the best place to go in Grand Rapids, MI! I have been to many other places for Chinese and I have been disappointed several times! At Hong Kong Express the food is made to order and it’s always fresh! I am a new customer and it is so very good! The prices are amazing! You gotta stop by this restaurant and get the yummy egg rolls! Excellent food and service!“
“I order take out from here a lot. It's my favorite Chinese place in town. First Wok is too $$ and upcharge every little thing and if they make a mistake, they don't own it. This place though? I can special order any dish because I can't eat carrots or root veggies (allergic) and they get my order right every time. The one time they didn't they remade it the next day for me. The prices are beyond reasonable and the meat is not like the kind you get that's cheap or chewy from other Chinese restaurants I've tried. The dishes I've had are the crab rangoon, beef, shrimp and chicken with Chinese vegetable, moo goo Gai pan and their Sizzling Rice soup which I'm addicted to. They have a bakery, too, from which my daughter loved to try items that taste very different from typical American stuff and are made fresh daily and are just plain good. I highly recommend trying them.“
“If you like Chinese food, you definitely want to pay them a visit, everything was hot, fresh and service was excellent, prices are fair and portions are ample, I'm always a sweet and sour chicken kinda guy and it's excellent, egg rolls good sized and stuff for the kids to order in case Chinese doesn't fit well with them, I've been here several times and that says a lot about them, believe me, if I don't like the food or the service at places I dine, instead of some nasty reviews which some people opt to do, I just simply don't return, highly recommend First Wok“
“I am always in the mood for Chinese takeout. Red Bowl is pretty good. Have ordered takeout from here 3 or so times within the past year. Here are my takeaways: orange chicken is solid - good meat to breading ratio and has a good flavor with a bit of spice. Sesame chicken has great flavor, not too sweet. Fried rice isn't my favorite - I like the larger chunks of onion but there is a bit of old pan flavor to the rice, if that makes sense... I typically opt for white rice but the fried isn't the worst I've had. Rangoon is above average comparatively for GR - good amount of crab cheese filling and the flavor is great. Overall, 4 stars. If the fried rice was better I would have given 5. It's your standard Chinese takeout joint with competitive pricing (lunch special under $10.50).“
“They have great service and great food. We have been there twice now and both times we had a good experience. They are very quick at getting meals out. It seems like they get a lot of take out orders, too. I would recommend going there. It is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.“
“Delicious. We got a to-go order of brisket pho, spring rolls, and a couple iced coffees with condensed milk. The food was great, the portions were good, it wasn’t too expensive, and the service was nice and fairly quick. Will definitely go again. Seems like a nice place to dine in as well.“
“One of the best places for Chinese in the area. The food quality and consistency is what keeps me coming back. The owner and her family have done an amazing job running this restaurant and are always providing amazing food and amazing service. This is also one of the cleanest restaurants I've been in. They do a superb job at keeping it clean.“
“Asian Kitchen is conveniently located on Lake Michigan Drive by other shops and grocery stores like ALDI and Meijer. They used to be a sit down restaurant, but I guess once the pandemic hit, they decided to make the switch to just carry out. The people working there were very nice. They have quite a number of options on their menu, which was in all English. I got three dishes: Hunan Beef - it was good! I wish it was a bit more spicy, but it did still have a little tiny kick to it. The broccoli tasted super fresh when I ate it, and felt the dish had some good color to it with other vegetables. The beef was very soft. Hot and sour soup - ah, one of my favorite soups so I always make sure to try it at Asian restaurants. It was good, nothing special. I've had ones that were more flavorful that filled the tongue with its flavor but this one was just fine. Again, I wish it was slightly more spicy... Mapo tofu - another favorite dish of mine. It was good! Nothing much to complain or rave about. I liked the veggies they added to it. There is pork in it too, which I like. Overall, I'd you're looking for some good Chinese take out, this place is pretty safe. I'll go again and try more dishes!“
“Growing up abroad and in Chicago, I always miss quality asian food. Grand Lakes has consistently been my go-to spot here in West Michigan, and they always provide great food and generous portions. They are always punctual with orders and friendly whenever I come in.“
“Been going here for years, you can not beat the portion for the price anywhere and the food is phenomenal! I get both small orders for myself and large orders when the whole family gets together for dinner and not once has my order been wrong or missing anything. They no longer do dine-in so I don't care that the inside is a little run down, everything coming out of the kitchen is perfect!“
“I love the shrimp fried rice as well as the general TSO chicken it is very good the egg rolls and crab Rangoon is good. Make sure your not in a hurry to come here for they are fairly busy at this location but the food is hot and filling. Customer service is fairVegetarian options: A few different options“
“I've gone over the years and always 3-4 star quality. They must have stepped up their game or I finally figured out how to order from them, but it's been more than 5 stars as of late. Some of the best Chinese I have ever had lately.“
