“This was an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful and the decor was beautiful. The shining star was the food though. The Brussels sprouts were DELICIOUS, my table also shared the arugula salad, grilled cheese, mushroom risotto, and chicken sandwich. Each was a generous serving - it was fun to taste the different items. Well worth the trip!”

Love to see this in the funny little town of Galien.In a town where it seems everything else has gone out of business, Ray & Al's is a bustling sandwich shop and bakery putting out excellent food.We tried the liverwurst sandwich, which seemed appropriate given all the German heritage in the area. It was good, but I'd try something else next time. It's a unique flavor profile worth trying at least once. You might love it!The Cuban sandwich had a great, smokey flavor to it.Macaroni salad was sweeter than we like it, but that's just personal preference.Baked goods were tasty - tried a chocolate donut and a gluten free brown butter oatmeal chocolate cookie. (it'd probably be even better NOT gluten free ;))Indoor was busy but tables turned fast. There are also a handful of outdoor seating options as well.Well done Ray & Al!”

“Honestly, the food was pretty decent. My partner really loved the pasta (chicken alfredo). The pizza was alright, slightly burnt around the edges. The “dinner for two deal” ($55) was a decent deal for the food you got. Came with soup/salad, one (2 topping) pizza, a main entree (pasta), and dessert (coffee and a cookie). Did get a 3% fee, which we didn’t know about.”

“The best build your own bagel sandwich and oatmilk cortado I've had in a long time! My husband, our friends and I were vacationing in New Buff for the New Year's weekend and came to David's for breakfast and were blown away, not only by their food and drinks but their excellent service! They also have amazing lunch and pastry options! You've got to visit and experience it for yourself, can't recommend them more!Vegetarian options: Can build your own sandwiches without meat and their lunch options are very vegetarian friendly!”

Beer selection is fantastic, the tangerine wheat ale was honestly better than Oberon in my opinion. “This was a super cool spot to stop for a night cap! First, we loved the concept of reopening the deli at night as kind of a secret speak easy. The bartenders were hip and knowledgeable, the cocktail menu was well varied and well designed, and the drinks were amazing! My wife chose a Cosmo and it was delicious, and I had an old fashioned that was among the most carefully crafted I’ve ever had for the price. On a date night? Go here! Out with friends? Go here! “Local Pour is a Gem! They are dedicated to Michigan Craft Beverages - what a worthy cause! Their curated selection of wines, beers, spirits, and mixers never disappoints and is constantly evolving. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable, yet very easy to talk to. I was surprised at how large the selection of wines and beers they had on hand, and they make a good cocktail too.Not only do they offer great service and exciting events at Local Pour, but they also have a catering license. This means that you can have them pour Michigan wines, beers, and spirits at your own private event. My husband and I had Steve Salisbury, an employee at Local Pour, come to our house to present and pour wines for a wine dinner. Steve made everyone feel a part of the conversation, whether they were a wine aficionado or a novice. He gave great background information about Michigan wines in general as well as sharing the stories of the producers and vineyards. It was a memorable night for everyone! I highly recommend this service!”
