“One of the best restaurants in the Holland area. Can be a little pricey but well worth it. I've never ordered anything that hasn't been delicious from sandwiches, steaks, appetizers, desserts and their mixed drinks. Got a gift certificate for Christmas from a friend as she knows how much I love this restaurant. Haven't used it yet, but will as soon as weather is nice to sit on the outdoor patio. Inside is good too, but I prefer outdoors when possible.“
“My husband and I recently visited for the first time. The guy behind the counter was very nice. He answered all of our questions and made some recommendations. We tried a few different things. The catfish nuggets were amazing! The fries are really good too. We will definitely be back.“
“5 stars from me. The shrimp, belly, and grits had no business being that good. Seriously. I rarely go back to a restaurant twice on travel, but I may make an exception here. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The pork belly was crispy, sweet, and umami in all the right ways. Jalapeno grits and greens were a nice touch and an egg on top! Excellent dish. Everything we tried here was done well. The steak fries, burgers, and meatballs were all enjoyed. I'm curious to try a pizza now as well. The staff was excellent, the facility was clean. It was packed. We had a 15 minute wait at 7pm , so call ahead.Kid-friendliness: Yes with menuWheelchair accessibility: No“
“Food smells, tastes and is delicious, Mac and cheese was great, and service is great, photos do no justice.Dietary restrictions: Family in front of us had a young girl, looked about 3-4 who I understood was gluten intolerant, they brought out a special made meal for herKid-friendliness: Family in front of us had a young girl, looked about 3-4 who I understood was gluten intolerant, they brought out a special made meal for her“
“First time visit. Recommended by a friend. Glad we went. Started with a generous pour of my cocktail and a very professional and knowledgeable waitress. My wife's steak was cooked exactly like she wanted it and I enjoyed my whitefish entree. No dessert but a fun evening!“
“First time here and we will definitely be back. The food options are incredible, with a Mediterranean flair, and portions are perfect. “Our adventure began with high spirits and an insatiable thirst, not just for the amber nectar but also for a culinary delight. New Holland, a beacon of craft in the brewing world, was our chosen special destination. As we crossed the threshold into The Holland Brewpub, we were greeted not by mere beers, but by a cornucopia of brews so elusive, not even the most dedicated of store shelves could cradle them. The cocktail lineup was no mere list. It was a saga, each one a hero's journey in a glass, championed by New Holland's own distilled spirits. Bourbon and gin took center stage, turning each sip into a crescendo of flavor. But let's not skirt around the main event... the feast! The elote corn dip was not just a dish... it was a challenge. We dove in, not with the grace of gourmands but with the fervor of the Teletubbies' vacuum, inhaling the culinary concoction as though it were the air we breathed. And the prosciutto pizza! It didn't just arrive... It made an entrance, harmonizing with Dragon's Milk in what can only be described as a ballet of flavors. Each bite, a pirouette; each gulp, an ovation.Enter stage left, our waitress Madison, not merely a server but the conductor of our gastronomic symphony. With a smile that could light the darkest brewery and a joy that infused each interaction, she elevated our experience from mere dining to a jubilant celebration of food, drink, and human connection. In this tale of hops and dreams, New Holland didn't just serve us; they regaled us with a saga to be recounted with a smile, a clink of glasses, and a heartfelt toast to Madison, our cheerful guide through this epic food and alcohol-driven odyssey.“
“There are lots of good Mom & Pop’s breakfast places in Holland. Going out for breakfast or coffee seems like it’s a cultural pastime here. But Southside Inn offers a solid balance of lower cost than other options without a lower quality of food or service. Table service is offered with a smile. Over the years we’ve pretty much tried everything on the menu. Everything is good. More often than other options, my sons and I tend to order their farmer’s platter, breakfast skillet, or 2 eggs + meat + hash browns + pancakes. Their toast is good (especially the raisin) but please try their pancakes!“
“Team did a great job accommodating my wedding party. Food was good and the staff was friendly. Management did a nice job of kind of staying around the outside of our private room in a non intrusive way, this was highly appreciated for last minute requests that were unexpected.“
“A gem of a restaurant. The deep fried mushrooms did not dissappint!!My steak was tender and had good flavor and the broaster chicken was crispy and tender. My only disappointment was they do not brew their ice tea. Our server was pleasant and engaging.“
“I had an amazing birthday dinner at Butch’s! The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. We ordered the garlic frites, pork belly, flank steak, filet mignon, bistro burger, and flourless chocolate torte (free for my birthday). It’s hard to pick favorites but the pork belly, filet mignon, and chocolate torte were beyond incredible with unique and delicious flavor combinations. We also had cocktails and wine, our favorites being the Negroni and Cabernet Sauvignon. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. Hands down, this is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Holland!“
“Nice atmosphere and selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads and bowls. Very clean and comfortable. Modern decor. Only complaints is the chicken which is frozen processed meat (spongy texture & salty) rather than fresh cooked chicken breast. Won’t get chicken there again for this reason.“
“Went here thinking it was something else. I strongly suggest you check it out. Fox and Oden rye was my favorite but they gave an amazing line up. Was there on an off time and distiller offered a tour. Felt like hanging out with old friends, one of the best tours I've ever been on. Service and knowledge of what they are doing and just a great knowledge of what ppl are doing with spirits.“
“I grew up in Holland and Jackie's place has been here for as long as I can remember. I ate there for the first time sense it was rebuilt (which is many many years ago) this week. Had great food, excellent prices and a nice small quiet atmosphere. We came just after the lunch rush so there was hardly anyone there.“
“We had an amazing night out for dinner at the Red Rock Grille! An amazing date night option for incredible food and drinks. Our waitress Bethany was so friendly, thorough and professional. Comfortable seating with a great view. We are already looking forward to returning.“
“Sharkee's is a very cool dive bar with great food. I came in today a Saturday and Jamie was bartending she was the sweetest and a great attentive bartender extremely funny and lively. We had mozzarella wedges that came out fresh and Rob was an awesome server. I met the manager Nancy and she was so nice. What a great environment to kick a few back and have some laughs. Will definitely be back!“
“Stopped in for breakfast while on vacation. Everything went smoothly.... getting a table quickly, being waited on quickly, and receiving our food quickly. Breakfast was delicious and we would definitely return if we are ever in the area again. Very good stop for us! Thanks!“
“So you're looking for a place to relax and maybe have a drink or some food in downtown Holland...you're probably not thinking about going to a hotel lobby...We'll you might be missing out on some of the best deals. CitySen has some great deals and really friendly bartenders. Happy Hour every day from 4-7 with food deals including a delicious $8 pizza and half price bottles of wine and great drink deals. The lounge is undergoing renovations starting next week so it will be even better. The night I was there most recently they even had live music, something you don't often see in Holland. So make sure to check out CitySen, but save me a seat at the bar.“
“The food is exceptional. The Burger they have is so delicious its hard to put into words. The specials they have are amazing. They call it a 5 star dive bar. It's really a 5 star bar. The staff is very attentive and you don't sit around waiting for service.“
“We lucked up on this gem while in Holland for a comedy show. Nice family style restaurant. The menu had a nice variety of food. I ordered the patty melt, and it was excellent! Our server was great. If you're in the area, stop in, you won't be disappointed.“

“Fish was great. Friday night is ALL YOU CAN EAT pollock for 14.99 with potato chips :( 2$ up charge for fries.. 16.99 with the fries. 3 pieces to start with the fries.Fries were good tho with it. Pinwheel appetizers so fluffy n magical next time I would get the pinwheels alone with the spicy ranch that comes with it normally ... OMG so good!!!!if you're craving pizza you can get cauliflower crust. My husband is gluten free. Was the best food I've had for a while. Service was pretty good. For how busy it was, I was surprised how attentive the server was. I reordered fish 3 times. 2 pieces at a time at reordering.Good music tonight. Environment was friendly. Nobody bumped into me. All around I will definitely be back for the fish on Friday and the pinwheels when I'm craving just pizza alone seriously they changed something since they reopened! Can't say anything bad. thanks big E's“
“This place has always been the heart of Holland , considering the Dutch background. The pies are always delicious as well as the morning glory muffins . Mhm . Simply to die for . Pigs in the blanket are always fresh . The cloud bread the should mix the herb & cheese together to create a new kind . Or add some extra cheese inside before they cook“
“Parking: 50Kid-friendliness: Waitress, waiter are all Great. Food is very good, very nice place to go and very good with families. We go there at least once a week.Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect for wheelchair available. They will cater to you and make it easy for wheelchairs.“
“Russ’ feels like a step back in time! Warm, friendly atmosphere that connects you to the local community. Kind employees. Good food and coffee… what more do you need? This location always has fresh bread baking and it smells fantastic. I appreciate the variety of soups… especially in the winter. You should really check out this spot!“
“Compared to the Hotel, this was WONDERFUL!!! The breakfast line up was fantastic and tasted good. I was honestly blown away. Hot Eggs, bacon, biscuits/gravy, sausage, potatoes and oatmeal. But that's not all! Their breads and carbs area was stunning! Don't forget yogurts, juices, etc. Full coffee pot for your own at your table.“
“Went for Sunday Brunch, food was very good and very filling. I had the Biscuits and Gravy skillet, which was excellent. My wife had the breakfast burrito, she was said it was very good. Would definitely recommend and look forward to trying other things they have to offer.“
“Update for 2024 although he had a few issues like ice dumping on our table and biscuits being missed we had a great time and excellent service our server had a great attitude and liked to laugh with usUpdated review for 2022 is the same wonderful placeAlways great food, friendly staff and clean environment.Updated review for 2020They have always put the customer first here. On May 25 2020 during the covid election pandemic/house arrest (whatever you want to call it) i took my birthday girl here because it's our tradition. The building was closed so we used a picnic table and a Chevy. The waitress came out with a face mask on and asked if she could get us anything else. This staff made an almost horrible birthday one she will never forget. And i think i got some dad points as well. I take all 4 of my kids here every year on their birthday (or on Saturday if their birthday lands on Sunday)God bless this staff for everything“
“Our server was fantastic. She was very helpful with food allergy concerns. She was also attentive to our needs and kept refilling our bottomless fries. Three burgers were all cooked to order and tasted great. Plus they put effort into the presentation so they actually looked good as well (no smashed buns, etc.).“
“Been here plenty of times, and it’s always a nice to go when you have no idea what sounds good. They have all your craving solutions here, burgers, pasta, and the like. I usually get their honey pepper Mac, I’m a little obsessed with it and can’t seem to try anything else when I come here. So that would be my personal recommendation. It doesn’t have too much of a spice in the pepper either. It’s balanced by the sweet. The specials they have which are 2/$25 I’ve noticed tend to be slightly smaller than when ordered off of the regular menu. I personally enjoy that though otherwise I eat WAY too much.“
