“We eat at Shortys once a week. We love the specials (great smoked wings, smoke ribeye hoagie and lasagna just to name a few), excellent pizza and sandwiches. Service is speedy and friendly every time. It can be loud sometimes if it’s a full house but then other times is a quiet atmosphere.”

“My wife introduced me to "Frosty King" when we were dating. I loved it! Since then they've changed owners and names a couple times (and a location) and I think they've definitely kept the magic alive. I really like the food options and specials they have. Prices have gone up, but where haven't they... I'm definitely still a fan!”

“Menu has changed since the last time I was there, they didn't ask what kind of cheese I wanted. They just went by what the menu says that the sandwich comes with. I know now that if I want something different that I need to inform them before they start making the sandwich. Also, I couldn't see them making the sandwich because of the way the setup is. Again, now I know.Total bill was about $14 for one foot long, no chips, no drinks.”

“Stopped on the way home from a graduation ceremony. I don't normally get over that way, but when I do I will be stopping there.Ice cream was good and prices were reasonable for the market. The flurries had a lot of toppings also.Great little local place off the beaten track, but worth the trip.”

“These are the best donuts I've ever had. They are a Jackson, Michigan staple and were voted #1 donuts in the state of Michigan. You can't go wrong with any of the flavors, but I am partial to the cream-filled long johns with the chocolate frosting, and the apple-filled with the cinnamon frosting. They are so dang good!”

“Not impressed with the pizza , the kids didn't even like it . I felt like I didn't have to worry about my kids running out the door, four kids under 8 yrs old ( mom relief for safety) open space to see all play areas and the door by the entrance was a half door buzz in so totally a plus , and all my kids loved playing there they didn't want to leave. They have dress up village areas, climbing obstacles, tea cup spinning chairs, my oldest two kids called it the best day ever. So this mom was pleased ?.”

“The food is always on point and I mean always on point no matter what it is but let’s talk about them sweets honey because I always be stoping by for them 5 layer chocolate cakes, brownies, strawberry shortcake etc (she got it all) rather I’m cooking from home or going for a snack on break at work I’m always stopping at flavors for my sweet tooth which is always there it’s fire don’t be wasting that money at the gas station for fake tasting stuff get the real stuff”

“Great service, amazing food and excellent beer. Burrito was very tasty with just the right amount of heat and the nachos stole the show. Please keep the pilsner and japanese rice lager as both were awesome. Another hidden gem in jackson.”

“I have only had Arron's bagels and bread. I tried garlic herb focaccia bread and I couldn't stop eating it. His business is named Doughnation bakery. The coffee is tremendous. The service you receive is top notch. The staff is amazing. Vic and Linda know how to make a cup coffee. After you order, you sit down and the staff will bring you your amazing cup of coffee. The atmosphere is one of calming. This is one local cafe you must stop in while you're driving through Spring Arbor.”

“Such a cool place! Hidden gem, everything is ice cream related decor including the seating and lights!? I may suggest to order in advance if you're in a hurry but worth the wait for the only hand dip real icecream left in Jackson mi!!Kid-friendliness: Magical”

“I was looking for a different version of a frappe and one day when I came in after an appointment I happened to notice the Reese's frappe and I immediately feel in love in with it and have been ordering it ever sinc, sometimes with an extra shot of espresso when I really need the caffeine.”

“Stopped for an early dinner on a Friday. Service was fantastic--hospitable and attentive.Our food was very good. But having eaten a lot of excellent Guatemalan food, this was a little different. I guess there are a variety of styles even in smaller countries.The dining room is festive with bright colors and attractive murals. It would be nice to feature some Guatemalan music. It seemed a little eerie listening only to compressors running.”

“First time using this location for a quick meeting. Had a Chai Latte. There is not a lot of space inside, but the space they do have is cozy and well utilized. I would definitely go again; however, would try a different drink as the chai latte just seemed a bit weak. I probably just need to ask for it to be stronger....might just be my own ignorance.”

“Grace was the most fantastically immaculate waitress that showed us over exceptional service. I’m leaving MI and was celebrating a farewell gathering amongst folks. So glad I was celebrated for leaving. Great atmosphere and food was delicious with a hint of comedy to complement food. I’m so up to do this again…”

“WOW!! Completely impressed by this unassuming place! And this, from someone who has been a devoted fan for decades of the food mecca that is Ann Arbor. Favorite standards mingle effortlessly on this menu with deliciously innovative dishes, all in a cordial, understated atmosphere. Our server was cheery, quick, and accommodating. Did I mention that the spacious dining room is anchored by a large square shaped bar in the middle? Makes you realize that the positioning of patrons on high stools facing in every direction, helps to create a very friendly atmosphere, too. “Service was a little slacking, never offered me a refill. The food was great the olive burger very tasty. The half portion of fries we more than enough for the meal. The half order of onion ring we ok, nothing special. FYI there is no public restrooms.”

Great selection of breakfast items plus specials and not too overwhelming of a menu. Very reasonable prices and great portion size. “We got there 20 minutes before closing time and asked the lady if it's too late to order. Not only did they take our order, but went out of their way to give us the best service, even after closing time! The food was incredible and decently priced. Will definitely come back!”

“This is a nice little coffee shop on main St in Concord. This area needed a place like this. The coffee is great ! I always get a latte either hot or iced. And they are always made very well. Today I had an iced pumpkin spice latte and it was delicious, I also ordered a slice of bacon Gouda quiche. The quiche had a great flavor , and lots of cheese. The dough they used was flaky and buttery. BUT the inside of my slice was cold, the outside was warm. I still ate the whole thing because I was hungry and the flavor was there so it wasn't so bad even being cold.”
