“Warm friendly place. Brought 15 people (called ahead). They were very accommodating. We were looking for appetizers for the whole table and the bartender suggested Mombo (?) baskets. They were a bit of everything from the fryer in each basket. Perfect”

“Ethanology is always a great spot to grab a cocktail. Their menu is always really creative and they source local ingredients to make their drinks and spirits. The bartender today gave us two tastings of their gin and barrel aged gin after chatting about it. Everyone who works here is always very personable and passionate about the spirits. My husband and I are not fans of gin typically, but we would definitely drink the gin here. We always love to sit in the loft area with some games and cool decor.”

“We stopped here at the Central Lake location on a day drive of the area. We left with several bottles of the Bloody Mary mix and vodka rhubarb and strawberry.The drinks were all fantastic, there is a large menu of choices. Drew was working that day and he was knowledgeable and made the trip fun. This is a place the locals love. They have several locations and i can’t wait to get home and start mixing.”

“The staff seems eager to please and the setting is very comfortable and pleasing with a nice outdoor seating area also. I do hope for a larger menu with more vegan offerings and consistency. Please keep your prices reasonable or I'll put you in the "overpriced tourist category" in the future! I'm happy to see more lunch and dinner offerings but only wish they were offered more than on weekends. I'd be here as a regular then! Keep it simple and fresh and affordable!”

“I was overwhelmed with gratitude when stopping into the Dam Shop yesterday. The attentive service offered by Mike the manager and other employees was pleasantly surprising. Mike was extremely welcoming and took extra time and effort to accommodate my daughter’s food sensitivities. Also, we have ALWAYS had wonderful experiences with the baristas - Sarah, Emily and Audi - love them! Their friendly and helpful nature goes a long way. My daughter and I love the coconut milk option for lattes. We just love this place for so many reasons. The service at this restaurant was one of the best experiences I have yet had.Everything on the menu looked so good that I couldn't decide what to order. The chef came out and offered to make a seven course dinner with his choice of different menu options and wine pairings so that I could try as much food as possible.It was a night to remember, thank you!”

Central Lake is a quiet little enclave nestled between Torch Lake and Grand Traverse Bay and we felt so welcomed by staff and local patrons alike, and the food was excellent (hint: be sure and pick up a "french toast" muffin to go when you're done eating). It can be difficult to find good and reasonable priced dining in resort areas, so this one should definitely be on your list! Our hotel hostess was familiar with Touch of Class, but said she would mention it to other guests as well, as it's just a short 9-min. drive.”

“The price is too good to pass up. The absolute best smash burger you can get in Elk Rapids. Much better than the simple hidden valley ranch seasoned smash burgers served elsewhere. The owner is actually very friendly, shows no signs of bipolar disorder and is not entitled like another restraunt owner nearby. The food here is ALWAYS consistent.”

“How have we missed this place? So glad we stopped in to try Chang Express. The server was nice and did such a great job explaining the sauces and dishes. We ordered one dish and told her to surprise us with one of her favorites. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Rice was great, the hotness was perfect for me at a level 5. We are already talking about going back to try some other dishes. So glad we made the stop.”

“Wow! I am allergic to gluten so I have to have gluten free crust. I have learned to order cauliflower crust, because I’ve never had a gluten free crust that tasted like anything other than perhaps cardboard. We’ll that just changed! The gluten free crust at Classic Pizza is delicious! It was soft, and had flavor! I’m so happy that I put aside my negative attitude about GF crust and tried it, Classic Pizza is my new favorite pizza place!”
