“Went to open mic night on a Monday. Liked the atmosphere a lot. Service was excellent!! Waitstaff was kind and friendly and on top of things. Great ambiance. The prices for a Monday and no happy hour on a Monday was a bit off putting. On average beers were $8 (basic beer). White claws $6.50. Sliders $2 each. Chips and salsa $4. I thought the food was good and decent prices but beers were pretty pricey.”

“I went to this place for the first time and fell in love with it, it's a small bar with a big big personality. The owner is amazing, his staff is amazing, the food is way way over the top (amazing) compared to other food places especially other bars, the people running the karaoke on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are amazing and have great current hits. “Fantastic food comes out of this little place. Really good Thai food. My "hack" is to order vegetable curry but add chicken because this gives you a larger assortment of vegetables than if you just order chicken curry. Actually the waitress suggested this but I will still claim credit. Soups are good. Pad Thai good. The steak larb is really tasty. Service is friendly prices are very reasonable and portions are large. What more can you say. Five stars.”

One of the best breakfast meals I have had in quite a while. 10:30 AM on a Sunday and they were still very busy. I had to wait about five minutes to be seated Nothing fancy about this restaurant. “Okay first of all your onion ring wasn't the size of a quarter. It would have to be a shallot, and those are expensive, lol. And everything that comes off the grill has stuff on it at some point in the evening. You'd be shocked if you knew how often back of house has to clean the grill in a day.I got the Fuji Apple Salad. It slaps. They accomodated my request for no onions. They did forget the blue cheese crumbles but, like, whatever. Slip me some extra next time, lol. “A WONDERFUL breakfast of Texas Hash. I'd asked one of the guys (they're twins) if they offered a Cinnamon Roll Pancake. Whoops! That's at the "other place." But...here he came with a medium size Cinnamon Chip Pancake with a Cream Cheese topping swirled on it. It was the BEST!!! I think it was the cinnamon CHIPS that made the difference. The other place didn't use chips. Thank you Bluewater people. You went over and above!!”

“We are from Vegas and stopped by here for some take out pizza while visiting relatives in Portland. Ordered a Breakfast and a Pickle Pizza.Not something we would usually order, but we have never had either so we went for it. Glad we did. They were great. Everyone enjoyed them..!!!They also had fresh donuts and other desserts, and they all looked so good.The store is going thru a major construction project, but the service and atmosphere was still 5 star.The owner Josh was there when we stopped by and we chatted with him while we waited for our pizzas. Nice guy with a great vision for the future of an expanded and improved Portland Party Store.Can't wait to stop by the next time we are in town visiting our relatives.”

“Excellent restaurant, in past the meat spaghetti sauce was perfect. Tonight it was kind of "thick and bland". This is very unusual; it usually is tasty with chunk tomatoes and peppers. (I get a side of marinara to dip my crust in. Or do I use the crust to shovel in the marinara? Either way... Mmmmm.)My second favorite food is the deep fried green beans which are served with a side of siracha ranch.I've tried most everything on the menu, as long as you know what you like (for me, no gorgonzola), everything is very good.Unfortunately, I'm not a craft beer person (sorry, Pete) so I cannot attest to how good those are. I stick with Focus which is a very basic beer. The wines I've tasted have all been excellent.As I referenced above, you can buy a mug (I'm not sure what the current price is, $150 ish?) and the pour is the same price as a pint, but the mugs holds about 3-5 ounces more. More beer, same price, I like it! Your mug will then reside at SSB for future use.There's ample parking on both sides of the building.The building is easily wheelchair accessible.There is also a beautiful patio at the front of the building, which is nice during the warmer months.This is not a place I would take small children, yet there usually is at least one small child there, so.... ?‍♀️ It's not a bad environment, just not what I would think of if taking kids out.Please proceed to the bar to order and get your drinks. The food will be brought out to your table when it's ready. Enjoy!”

“A cute little ice cream shop in a cute little town! Lots of different and unique ice cream options. I got a PB&J sundae and added cheesecake pieces. Lots of toppings to add to the dessert of your choice! There was a line to the door when we went, but service was quick and efficient.”

“Best pizza I’ve had in the Ionia area so far. Next time I’ll ask for more sauce , but I know I am not typical in that. I also love eggplant on pizza, so I’m always looking for someplace to do that. Pizza also passed the test of being good the next day. The proprietor is friendly and the cheese is real. Old town photos on the walls are a plus.”

“We have eaten at, or had takeout from, New China Buffet many times over the past 10 years, and they have never failed to satisfy. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. I've eaten at a number of Chinese restaurants here in Michigan, and the New China Buffet in Portland is my favorite, by far!”
