“We had a great time at Bowdies! We sat upstairs and our server Lian (?) was so attentive and polite. Ww ordered the scallops for an appetizer which was soooo very good. We shared the Cowboy Ribeye and that meal was so very tasty! Our evening was fun and we enjoyed our meal! 10/10!”
“First time here, and the food was delicious. The chicken came out quickly, so quickly, I was concerned it would be dry from sitting around. Instead, it was juicy, succulent, and perfectly seasoned (not too salty). Shared sides of grits, greens, coleslaw, and delicious pickles. Mac and cheese was good, but not $18 good. I prefer my grits a bit finer and creamer, but still ended up scraping the bowl! View of the river was lovely and am sure would be wonderful to sit outside on a warmer day. Would love to make this place part of a regular dining rotation, but thought it was a bit pricey even by today's standard.”
“The vegan options are amazing! Came here two days in a row of that tells you anything. ? We got the cheesy vegan breadsticks (I recommend asking for light in the cheese), the giant pretzel with a side of vegan ranch. And for our pizza we got the vegan pepperoni and sausage, plus banana peppers and spinach. Divine! And the best part is the very fun and friendly staff. Highly recommend.”
“Welcome to Phil's - where the drinks flow like gossip at a PTA meeting and the flavors dance on your palate like a drunken ballerina. Let's talk about the real star of the show: the Bloody Marys. These aren't just drinks; they're like Picasso paintings for your taste buds, leaving you wondering if you should sip it or hang it in a museum. Now, onto the grub. Brace yourself because Phil's burger is about to give your taste buds a thrill ride they'll never forget. It's the reigning champ in town, although I'd suggest swapping that Ciabatta bun for something softer - unless you enjoy feeling like you're wrestling with your lunch. But it's not just about the burger - Phil's has comfort food down to a science. The ham and cheese plate is like a warm hug from Grandma, if Grandma was a culinary wizard. And let's not forget the specials - the slow-cooked beef barbacoa tostadas were a flavor explosion that left us begging for more like Oliver Twist in a foodie twist. And let's give a round of applause to the waitresses who bust their buns to make sure you leave with a smile. Their charm and hustle don't go unnoticed, and as a bonus, you get some animal crackers at the end - because who says adults can't indulge in a little nostalgia with their dessert? Phil's isn't just a restaurant; it's a gastronomic adventure filled with flavor, friendly faces, and a sprinkle of whimsy.”
“Visit this place every time we stop by Saugautck. Love the juices & delicious açaí bowls. Atmosphere, customer service and corner location makes a for a great lunch with a view. Can’t wait to go back. Want to give their juice cleanse package a try.”
“Ida's is a wonderful establishment! The environment is cozy, comfortable & clean. The staff are friendly, cheerful and pleasant. Even when a medical emergency took place, the staff continued to care for their other customers. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and the food was still freshly made with reasonable proportions and delicious!Dietary restrictions: We both have food allergies and they were very accommodating.”
“Old-style place in a historic building. Well-cooked fish and good cocktails. And decent service. Also, loved the women's bathroom! Very much enjoyed our meal there.”
“This place has amazing pizza and amazing service. It’s a fun place for a drink with a friend or two or with a group! We were in town from Chicago for the weekend celebrating a friend’s birthday and were so happy with our choice on the first night. Anna was such a great server and so down to earth and fun! I would frequent any establishment where she was working!”
“Great location, Juan was an amazing server. Had an issue with the appetizer and he immediately replaced it and brought us out a new one. Great food, great drinks- will definitely be back!”
“Food was delicious. I love my custom made mushroom, Swiss burger they make for me. Have been going to The Butler since 1979 every summer and spring. The waitstaff is accommodating and friendly. The Butler has always been my go-to restaurant in Saugatuck! They always make me feel at home.”
“We have visited several area restaurants, this by far was the best service experience we have had. We ate at the bar and this bartender here was just fantastic! And the cream of Squash soup ..i could eat it everyday, just awesome. Nice people!”
“Quaint little place with delicious food! My friend had the chicken shishkabob wrap and said it was great. I had a Chicken wrap and the ingredients tasted fresh; very filling meal. They let us try some pierogis, which were delicious. They also have a great chai tea latte! Best part was how dog friendly the staff was. I definitely recommend giving Siena Cafe a try!”
“Stopped in for dinner on a road trip. It was quiet in the restaurant but the service was friendly and quick and the food was super yummy! I definitely would come back on my next trip :-)”
“Fantastic food, outstanding service and I just say that because they've got personality for days with a Midwest pleasantry that goes a long way. They're open late, so why aren't you coming in?”
“I’ve dined at Michelin starred restaurants throughout the world and this is one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had in Michigan. The food is amazing and service was impeccable. The scallop, lamb lollipop, and seared foie gras were my favorite dishes but the entire tasting menu was delicious.”
