Just left from seeing the Chris Canvas band. This band is great! My 3rd time at the restaurant and the service is horrible. The manager is full of excuses. She didn't seem to really care. She just had excuses. We waited for 2 hours for food. The only reason I come here was to see Chris and the band but I rather drive to Ann Arbor. At The Soul of Detroit, I had the most delicious supper. I ate the mac n' cheese, candied yams, and giant shrimp! The shrimp had great flavor and was FRESH! The mac n cheese was delicious, and the yams were just the right amount of sweet.

The food was good but it took 2 1/2 hours to get it. The band was finished with a whole set before we got our food. Very unorganized and slow. Staff needs personality training. Unprofessional. Please hire more people this might help.
