“Where to begin....this place has the most delicious smoothies and chicken Shwarma's. It has become my new favorite. If you are looking for a family oriented place, look no further! Everyone (except 2 particular) employee's are very pleasant and welcoming! I can not remember the last time I walked into a place, felt so welcome and felt that they cared. They are fast, caring and truly go above and beyond! I absolutely recommend this place! I'm sure I will be back at least once a week if not more! Thank you for the positive experience!”

“On my way home from Detroit to Ann Arbor today I saw their sign that said “Best Burger Around””, so I decided to give them a try. They did not lie, the burger was flavor, juicy and quite large. Onion rings were meh. All in all, I left the place happy and, more importantly, full.”

“The staff was great. My sister and I loved everything that we ordered. The hummus was perfect with the bread it is served with. We got a couple strawberry smoothies that were so fresh. The meal was so fresh with quality ingredients. My sister and I are still talking about our meals days later. The garlic sauce paired great with our meals. My sister got the cubes beef kabobs and I got fahsah chicken. They also have a kid friendly menu we got my niece chicken nuggets and fries. “Been following for a long time and finally got to go last night. Service was a little on the struggle bus, but they were very friendly and tried hard. The beet salad was a little uneventful, so we were slightly worried this was going to be a disappointing evening. And then the entrees finally came out. My wife is a vegan and she knew going into it the menu would be limited for her (she knew I wanted it) so the only thing she could get was the pasta dish, and we both have decided it was the best pasta dish we had ever tasted. She cleaned her plate. I had the fried catfish with black beans, and it was literally amazing. Like, I’m going to dream about it. We live almost an hour and a half away, and it was worth the drive.”

“This is one place the entire family can agree on—the entire table shares each other’s meal. There’s enough variety for everyone whether we’re going meatless or not; the taste and portions are on point and drinks are plenty, especially non-alcoholic.We had the General Tso cauliflower and wings appetizers and the brussel sprout salad w/ na’an bread, cod fish sandwich and Korean tacos as our entrees. “Went there for the first time the other day. The food was excellent!!! So glad we have some options in Ypsilanti. There haven't been too many Indian-style restaurants around here. I got the mutter paneer and my partner got the shrimp sampler. Everything was delicious and the owner was super friendly. They seemed pretty busy for carry out so it looks business is doing good. “Just tried out this place. We were in a large group that ordered several types of chai and different food items, and everything was wow! Hands down, best chai I've had in Michigan. I especially liked the Karak Chai and Amore Chai, but all of the different chai varieties at the table were amazing. My family is South Asian so I grew up as a bit of a chai snob, but this place thoroughly impressed me. Their homemade paratha wraps and sandwiches were super yummy. Seating was ample, both indoors and outdoors, and the whole restaurant had a vibrant and chic vibe. Place was very clean. This is a family owned restaurant and the thing I thought was especially stand-out was that several of the family-members were there even though we went really late on a Sunday. Owners stopped by several times to make sure our group was happy. If your only experience with chai is at Starbucks or Biggby, I really recommend taking in Cups N Chai's extremely welcoming environment with your family or friends while broadening your horizons with one of their wonderful pots of chai.”

“Visited this restaurant multiple times, and I can say it is the best place to go if you are craving South Indian food. They have a variety of options for both veg and non-veg South Indian dishes. Some of their must-tries that I would suggest are the Chettinad chicken dosa, medu vada, and Pomfret Tawa fry. The medu vada was soft, crispy, and very tasty. The masala in the Pomfret fry was authentic, and the fish tasted fresh. Also tried their goat biriyani, which was delicious. They did adjust the spice level as requested. The service was good, and the place was neat and clean. I would love to visit this place again and again.”

“I was so excited to try House of Umami as I love ramen. We visited for the first time on Easter. The decor is very nice, music was playing an a very reasonable volume. Our server was great!!!! The food......yummy. I got the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen, it was rich, hearty and very tasty! My spouse got the Ahi Tuna bowl. He very much enjoyed, but had one recommendation. The wasabi was buried at the bottom of the bowl, somewhat mixed in. His recommendation (and would likely order this way next time) have the wasabi on top where consumer can see and monitor how much they get in one bite. We also tried the plumb sake, yum! “Lavant food is consistently flavorful with generous portions. I've never been disappointed. I would describe this as "fresh boost" Mediterranean. I usually get bowls, but even their sandwiches have the crisp of fresh, quality veggies in it, and it's not as salty as similar offerings around town. It feels kinda refreshing to eat.The down side (minor): the bread they provide is just prepackaged pita, but still pretty good. They have a few small tables for dining in, but it strikes me as a takeout place anyway, and it's excellent for that.Wheelchair accessibility: Seems ok. Manual door though.”
