They sometimes can't answer phones because they are so busy, but they always do their best. Vassar Bar is exactly what you expect a small town bar to be like: inexpensive and strong drinks, a bit rundown, quirky characters, a bartender that has been there for an eternity. We appreciated talking with the patrons and bartender and getting some scoop on the goings on. I hope the new owners keep the charm and character of the bar.”

“I do not reside in this town but I do not think of my self as a outsider. This McDonald's workforce is great. The customer service is awesome. They greet you always with a smile. This McDonald's is a hang out place for the elderly and young alike.Some McDonald's I feel have lost their humanity because there is no interaction between customers and the employees. Going to McDonald's as a kid was always memorable but now we all have grown apart.This small town McDonald's makes your visit memorable.?I meant the owner and he seem to care about his employees, the customer and the community.?Parking: Parking lot can also accommodate construction workers with trailers, school buses and handicap.”

“Excellent small town restaurant. We had daily specials- a cheeseburger and ham and cheese. Fresh food, well prepared. The burger had a nice sear and a good bun. Side of potato salad was great and made in house. My husband had bean soup, which he said was homemade. His ham and cheese had grilled ham ( which is the way to it) on nice homemade bun. I also had a doughnut, which was great. Service from Jake was friendly and efficient. Nice location, as we like to get out of Saginaw on a nice day. Prices very reasonable.”

“This place has been around for years ...we get take out as atmosphere is just ok...small town vibe which is OK just not a lot of thought put into customers ambiance. BUT!! Their carryout pizza is very good! More importantly the pizza staff which seems to be made up of older teens and younger men are SO KIND! Feels like they enjoy thier work and team feel! THAT is reason enough for return visits! Kudos to the PIE STAFF! FRESH/HOT and just plain good! BE prepared to think ahead! If you are wanting a pie, plan on ordering min of 2hrs ahead and they won't disappoint!! ?Parking: Parking lot is TERRIBLE...ALWAYS MUDDY POTHOLES...CMON OWNER!
