Solid strip mall Chinese. It seems as though most of the business is carryout, but there is a dining area that's reasonably comfortable to eat in. I go there only rarely but have never been disappointed. That being said, it's a mid-tier type (price wise), Chinese-American, fast casual type of place. It's not trying to be highly elegant, authentic, or unique. They're open to giving people what they expect, consistently, at a fake price. Moved here 8 long years ago and still hadn't found any Chinese food worth eating. Until a friend told us about China Chef Ypsilanti. It's only been a month and we ordered from them 4xs. I don't want to get sick of it. Egg Foo young and the gravy is a great brown gravy. The dumplings and sesame noodles are also great. Looking forward to trying something from each category.
