“On Friday night, August 11th, I got delayed in Bemidji by thunderstorms. I was supposed to land in Minneapolis by 7 and then go to the hotel for a quiet and relaxing evening. Instead, I arrived at 11:30 p.m., totally exhausted and frazzled. I had missed dinner and my husband called the hotel and asked if he could have a pizza delivered for me. When I arrived, I mentioned this to the women at the front desk. They smiled and told me it was already in my room! I then asked if there was any way I could order a glass of wine to also take to my room. They smiled and said the was already taken care of. When I got to my room, not only did I find a small pizza and glass of wine sitting on the table for me, but they had added a Hersheys Candy bar and a hand written card to me..all on their own!! I still have the card and will keep it as a sign to me of how kind total strangers can be. The card reads, "Welcome! So glad you made it safe. Here's a love token from your husband. Enjoy your night! Sleep tight. Love, HGI staff Give these women a raise!! They turned a very exhausting and stressful night into such a wonderful experience. I was only able to be in your hotel for a total of 6 hours, but I slept so well knowing I was so cared for! Thank you!!!“

“I have been wanting to try this place and I’m really happy I was recently able to. The best part? Absolutely loved the atmosphere. Even the bathrooms are cute! It was a really clean place with super adorable dog themed decor. My food was also pretty good. I got the chicken tenders and French toast and I was happy with it. The worst part? Service was a tad slow. Our food took a bit to come out and the bathroom paper towel dispenser in the woman’s restroom wasn’t working but it was overall a good experience. I must also add that parking is not easy. Some got lucky and were able to find a spot right in front of the restaurant but a few of us had to park a block or two away. I was told there was a lot behind the restaurant but someone said they weren’t marked so they didn’t know it was for the restaurant but I’m not too sure about this.Parking: Hard to find. Not many spots open near the restaurant but I’m sure this depends on when you go. We went on a Sunday afternoon and we had a hard time finding spots.“

“AMAZING! My boyfriend & I had brunch here & were shocked to realize that this place had been just down the street for months & we had no idea, which is nuts because the food was AWESOME. Great atmosphere with cool artwork. Super delicious. I had the Ethiopian sampler & my boyfriend had the breakfast burrito. Both were outstanding. The drip coffee was great too! I ordered the sweet potato fries and my partner ordered the wings and elote. He absolute loved the wings and elote. The food came out very quick and was really hot and delicious. “This was the first time my friends and I ate here. We really enjoyed the experience. The food was great. My guests had Ahi Tuna Bowls and I had the Thai Rice Bowl. We all enjoyed our meals and they were reasonably priced. Great cocktail selection and Mocktail. We did not have any, but will be back in the evening to enjoy one of these. The server was good . The lunch crowd kept them hopping. Nice ambience.“

“This place is so fun! It's a cozy little bar where you can pack in without feeling too cramped. There's always some sort of entertainment here: poker tournaments, live music, or just great people watching. The clientele truly is a mix of all types of people, old and young. They have menus in Spanish. It really feels like everyone is welcome.The staff is really nice and plays into the fun. After just a few visits, they started greeting me with my usual drink.As far as the food, they have a lot of classic bar fare, but the wings are the best! I've tried all the flavors and the lemon pepper dry rub are my favorite. If you can't find your own table, it's common to grab a seat at someone else's to eat your food. “I stopped in here while in the middle of a rail-bus transfer. Right away I was greeted by staff. There was a group circled around the bar but no where else. TVs everywhere. I was told there was a special that day: tomato-basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich at a reasonable price so I decided to try that. A tall glass of water with lots of ice they kept refilled. I was offered more food at one point but I can't eat that much these days. I took a tour around and found they had two Skee-ball machines in back. They do have a change machine. The juke box was ultra-modern. I found a bucket of bingo stampers on one table. Overall, I found this to be a super nice place and would stop here again.“

We ventured from our hotel to The Bulldog for a snack with our two tween/teen boys because we saw they had a kids menu. Our snacks and beer choices (for mom & dad) were great. We would have left with a perfectly pleased experience and been good. But the bartender who was solo and killin it found out we were going to a T’wolves game the next night. She is a huge fan and season ticket holder and when she found out our boys were fans she gave us an absolutely amazing hoodie that she had just scored. “They were very busy on Friday evening so there were 20-30 minute wait times for a table. We eventually ended up at a table inside that was in a super loud area.The host staff were able to switch us to a table by an open fire in their outside patio area. It was very nice out in the patio.As well as the fire there were overhead heaters. Not that many people out there, so not noisy at all. Our server Logan did a great job!“

“The Bulldog has my favorite wings and burger - the "Fear the Reaper" wings and "Stilton" burger are my favorites in the Twin Cities. The Reaper wings are the perfect balance of heat & flavor and the Stilton burger is full of flavor and heavy on the garlic. Oh, and when you get the burger make sure to get the cajun fries - baller combo.“

I had been following a strict diet and as soon as I told my waiter Chris I needed different meal options he was aware and knew what I would prefer on my salad and sandwich before I could tell him. I was not able to eat fried food but I was able to order the Walleye (Crowd favorite) grilled and it was delicious. Not too busy during the week, but probably a nice spot on game day or a downtown event. Will definitely be back!“

“We came before my grandson's football game. It was almost empty that early. Needless to say I got served right away. Good beer, decent selection. The Reuben Poppers are out of this world. My daughter's boyfriend asked if the food was any good. I said it is so far. He said why is it so cheap? He got a big wrap and fries, more than he could eat. He loved it and it was $12.95. The kids got a huge grilled cheese and fries. So much food two couldn't eat it. This is my second time here and it won't be my last. Good food and drinks and one block from US Bank Stadium? They do a nice job of having very attentive servers and a menu that offers gluten free options and some healthier alternatives as well. Go; you won't be disappointed.“

They are not open for lunch at this time which is a bummer as the menu is perfect for a quick lunch. They offer a wide range of beer and liquor, and the food is fine.....if unspectacular (Note: your fries are overcooked). You'll drink with a pleasant mix of locals, college kids and Summit Hill Elites, but the vibe is easygoing. I'm new to the Highland area, only been here 15 years, but this is my first choice for gettin' a beer and watching a game. I'm a fan of Plums. I recommend it.“
