“We went there about a week ago & the food was amazing. Cheeseburger, onion rings, Cole slaw, & wings were all done to perfection. A great atmosphere & the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend & we will be regular customers!“
“Absolutely divine! The prime rib was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, while the Italian penne diablo was a spicy, savory delight. Exceptional dining experience from start to finish; the lake view and quick/attentive service made it even better.“
“Went in the evening, bbq was great but felt like I showed up late for the best bbq party. It was just a small step towards dry and held for to long, I would still recommend 100% but go a bit earlier in the day or go on a busy day were they do two rounds of bbq that some fresh comes out later. Meats had great smoke and tenderness. Street corn was good, grits didn't have much flavor. Using pork rinds at the table to let you sample thier 4 sauces is awesome, good atmosphere and the service was top notch. Sauces were original and different which was refreshing also had extra dry rub on the table. Was 50$ after the tip for the all in sampler and a drink, portion wa good.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly“
“This is my favorite Texas Roadhouse to visit. The staff are amazing. The managers are friendly and they are so helpful with my allergies. I’ve never gotten sick there, which is saying something because I get sick almost every place I eat out. They are so helpful with answering my questions. If they don’t know the answer right away, they help me figure it out. I can’t recommend them enough. The service was quick and the food was perfect.“
“It was our very first time here. Came in shortly before closing on a Wednesday night so it was relatively slow. Coney's and fries were good and the malt was amazing! Lucas and his coworker were very kind and helpful. Super friendly! Great atmosphere almost like an old diner with a more modern feel. And I loved the large Edmund Fitzgerald posters! Definitely recommend and we'll be back.“
“Recent new owners. Fabulous food. King/Queen prime rib too, featured Friday. Beautiful setting on Little Cloquet R. headwaters. Burgers, soups, salads, drinks....everything we tried was top notch. Excellent fresh deep well water. Everything comes together here for the perfect dining and tavern style experience. Outdoor band on hand tonight. Great time, thanks again everyone.PS. That earlier 1 * review by John was most certainly the previous owners, so take that review with a grain of salt. Owners now are NOT the same owners as 2 years ago. Check dates on the reviews.“
“Really good place, especially for pub food. Fries were great, burger was excellent. It was a lot of food, so if there were smaller portions, you could probably order less -- but really excellent burgers and fries.Nice vibe as well. Not too loud and not too packed on top of one another.“
“Solid “Greasy Spoon”. It feels good to be in one before they become extinct. I had the corned beef hash, eggs and pancake… pretty straight up. My elder daughter had a good fish n chips, I think it was cod. The younger one ordered 2 pancakes bigger than her head which she enjoyed and could not finish.I’m not going to remember the servers name name but he was sharp and kind gentleman. We ate there this morning. 4/06/2024.Parking: There is street parking and a big, free, parking lot across the street“
“We went here to try their All You Can Eat Friday Night Fish fry as we heard it was very good and sells out fast. All of which is true. You get plenty of fish as a starter, yummy cole slaw, and the thin style french fries. You can ask for more fish if you have tummy room. The fish itself is lightly battered, and large filets are used. By the time we were done with our dinner, they were sold out.Get there early... they start serving at 5pm. We will definitely have this again.Parking: The parking lot is a fair size, but it could get crowded on a busy night.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, and there are a few kid type games for them to play.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp in the back of the bar, but if someone parks in front of it, it could be hard to access it.“
“My husband and I got married here on 9/22/2023 and we couldn't have imagined a better venue!! Everything was exactly as we'd pictured when we were planning! The pricing was very fair as well! The staff were incredible to work with; They were friendly, kind, and always ready to help out with anything we needed. They were also incredibly efficient when turning the main floor over from the ceremony to the reception!THE FOOD IS SO GOOD!!! We still have some of our guests reaching out to us to talk about how amazing the food was. We had a double sided buffet, which made the line go by significantly faster. There was even enough food for a good number of our guests to get more of certain items! The management team was also outstanding! In the months leading up to our wedding they were always one phone call or email away, and were very prompt in their response. They had every answer to every question asked, and always had such an upbeat energy about them!I can't recommend this venue enough!!!!“
“One of my very favs in Duluth! Everything is great, but the pancakes are my personal fav. You're going to get A LOT of food, and the pancakes are literally the size of your head! It's a far west Duluth favorite, so be prepared to wait, have patience, and tip your staff well!“
“Fresh, local and friendly. The seasonal menu is always tasty! We had the “rotating roll”which was a savory biscuit with braised beef, pickled jalapeño and cheddar- absolutely delicious! The pork verde fry bread came in at a close second- to be clear, they were both neck and neck for flavor. Our server was an absolute delight and only added to our wonderful experience.“
“Absolutely wonderful experience every time we go there, even when it's a full on dinner rush! Service is stellar, food is absolutely amazing! Tonight I had their catch of the day which was the honey hot salmon - cooked to perfection with a delicious glaze of hot honey to spice it up. And I can't not mention their fresh baked rolls and buns, they are incredible!“
“Love this place! The food was wonderful. We started off with the Tempura Fried Cauliflower. I loved the aioli sauce, and the whole dish was very tasty. We both ordered the Coconut Curry Rice Bowl with Chicken and it was sublime. I practically licked the bowl it was so good! We ordered a bottle of cabernet, which was decent but not great. Of course, after the first glass, it tasted just fine. :) For dessert we shared a very dense and very delicious piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream. So good! Definitely a place to come back to!Vegetarian options: Probably 75% of the menu appeared to be vegetarian or vegan. But everything we tried was delicious.Dietary restrictions: There were a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, also dishes that were gluten free.Parking: It's in downtown Duluth so parking can be iffy depending on when you go.“
“We hosted an event here for roughly 60-70 people. Lilli was amazing to work with in planning the event, she made it seamless and very easy to get everything organized. The night of the event staff was all very helpful and friendly. Guests raved about the food quality and choices that were selected. I cannot recommend this team and venue enough!“
“Sammy's pizza is a local legend for a reason.Because this pizza is LEGENDARY!Sure, there are gobloads of good pizza choices in the Northland, and it's always fun to try the rest, but you'll always come back to the best. SAMMY'S!Parking: Ampke near the door free parming.“
“Went to eat on fish fry night with family and had to stand until seats opened up. Fish was nice and not too hard, rather flaky. Most tables are high top. They do have handicap ramp but not a great seat up inside for it. They often have live music. My suggestion to the owners though is make the parking lot more than earth either gravel or pavement, also add more light at night. I'm glad my rents didn't slip on the icy mud and unseen ruts.Parking: Ruddy earth parking but big. Muddy when wet.Wheelchair accessibility: Have a ramp but most of the tables are high top.“
“I am recommending Scenic, our food was very good, and great atmosphere…but I want to say we left w a hungry kiddo that was excited for his pizza, but the 12$ kids pizza was exactly a frozen Totinos gross pizza . Kids deserve good food too! Hope for better next time :)“
“My husband and I were at the Canal Park location for brunch today for the first time and will be back as the staff was easily able to adjust for my personal tastes ( I HATE eggs) as well as service being timely. The only complaint I have is that my iced tea tasted like coffee, what I like to call “cofftea”. Whomever is in charge of brewing the tea should not be running the hot water through the coffee maker as the oils from the coffee end up in the tea making the tea taste bad.“
“Private party, so bar was closed off to public. Bartenders worked their tail off & still friendly and fast. We were 3rd & 4th person in line for food, which oddly was cold. Mashed potatoes were good but no gravy, butter, or anything (strange) to put on them. They did off barbecue sauce “
“Great pints - a bit on the expensive side for food, but its good food!Parking: the parking is free in the off season, but otherwise its paid parking with some dumb app that doesn't work half the time. So that is right on par. There is a small parking lot of like 5 spots that Google Maps will take you too, just park next to the hotel next door and hoof it in.“
“Enjoyed the wild rice eggs benedict. The pistachio breve was delicious...I could've had 2 cups. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was cozy.Parking: Depending on the time you arrive can make or break parking and availability.“
“We had dinner here a couple weeks ago. It was wonderful. Very nice atmosphere and all staff was very friendly, our waitress Amanda was very helpful in recommending food and drinks. A good time was had by our whole family. We will be returning soon!“
“I take my mom here every time she visits Duluth! She loves the cheese curds. Tonight we both ordered wings, I had the Thai chili and she had bar b que. Both were delicious! The atmosphere is awesome along with great service. Definitely a great spot for your special occasion“
“We had a fabulous lunch at Clyde's today. Two of us ordered the pork sandwich and I had the BEST smoked salmon salad i've ever had. The sandwiches were great, too. Great industrial vibe, superior service (shout out to Sam, our server), and super good food - we will be back!“
“We played 18 holes on a Friday afternoon in the fall. Prior to starting the round, we received a brief education from the course superintendent about the style of the course's creator, Mr. Donald Ross. Optical illusions abound on the course: a few infinity greens with some holes playing longer than they appear while others played shorter. Putting requires an accurate read with a deft touch, even on a wet fall day that reminded us of rounds played along Oregon's Pacific Coast. The course's ranking by Golf Digest as one of Minnesota's best is well earned.“
“First visit here and will be back! Food was very good. We had bacon cheeseburger pizza, gluten free spinach, olive and sausage pizza, meatball sandwich, and a cobb salad with grilled chicken. All were delicious. Lots of menu choices and dessert, which we did not partake in. Beer and wine choices, very good service, and nice decor.“
“I had a blast at the Gopher ...I loved listening to Russel Sackett sing .....he was amazing .. beautiful voice killer songs from the 70s ...it was amazing .... Going back to see him....owner Steve was really cool And available to talk ...and our waitress the beautiful Amanda was beyond phenomenal ....the food was fantastic ..never a disappointment ....had a blast ??♥️“
“Lots of great inventive and unique dishes, all delightfully delicious. All the staff is so nice and helpful. All makes for a nice outing!Parking: Don't be scared if the front parking looks full, there is ample behind the building and rarely full.Kid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly. They're very accommodating!“
