This is likely because it's a family-owned and operated restaurant rather than a chain. For example, one time they accidentally made too many margaritas, so we got some free drinks without even asking!Secondly, the menu here is more diverse than your typical Latin American restaurant. For example, this is the first time I've had a whole grilled Tilapia (the Mojarra Frita) since I was in Guatemala, and it was fantastic! The dish may look intimidating/unsightly to the average American, but trust me, it's delicious!Third, the prices are reasonable.The only "downside" is that the restaurant ambiance/atmosphere is just average, which really isn't that big of a downside.Parking: Large, free parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking available.”

“Amazing family-owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant that has been here for a long time. It's so good, that local radio sports broadcasters give it free advertising/mentions because they go there so much.The staff know and remember us, even if we haven't gone in months. We typically get take-out, but dining-in is good too; however, the lunch hour during the week is incredibly busy, so seating can be a challenge at times.I highly recommend the Phó, but make sure you add both the hoisin and siracha sauce for the best flavor and a bit of spicyness. The egg rolls are also excellent!Prices are very affordable.My father-in-law was born in Vietnam, and he loved this place when I brought him.Parking: Free parking lot at strip mall. Always parking available, but sometimes you may need to walk a few rows over.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking.”

“Great spot with options for full sit-down meal, bar meal and apps and cozier seating next to bar. Now that they serve breakfast, the menu has something for everyone for every mealtime. (eggs, pancakes, veggies, chicken wings, salads, burgers). Local and standard beers on tap. Good happy hour. And always, if you you are dipping, get the red pepper sauce. Yummy all around food, drinks and people!”

“Got the Mac attack burger. Sandwich Size was smaller than expected but it was pretty good. High rating because it's a unique Sandwich. Needed salt though. Fries were a mixed bag. Love the crunch and texture. But the taste of onions on them was overwhelming. I presume they fry a lot of onions in the oil. It's not bad, just not what I expected when i eat fries. Overall I recommend the place. Especially if you like onions and their flavor.”

“I work here to I may be biased but this caribou has great customer service with the goal of making customers happy & not just making money off of selling food & drinks. All drinks are made in store & sandwiches are very tasty. More busy in the morning but if you come in the afternoon it's usually not busy. Definitely would recommend stopping here for a drink every once in a while. Great selection of drinks whether you want a caffeinated drink, a drink with coffee, a cold or hot drink, a fruity drink, a milkshake drink, they have it all.”

“Had an amazing experience for my fist time here! I had the gnocci with cauliflower and orange, sooo good! They also have a local brewery (thats just down the street) on tap. My bartender Tim was very knowledgeable and had a great personality! The place was pretty busy when I went, but I still enjoyed the atmosphere! Overall, great experience!”

Certainly not downtown.My Saturday morning ritual over the past 6-7 months has been to get two Cryin Eggys, eat one immediately and eat the second for dinner. They reheat surprisingly well (10 minutes in the oven at 350, then a 20-second blast in the microwave).”

Street parking only, but it wasn’t too hard to find a spot. Would visit again and definitely worth the trip!”

I went here a few years ago and found myself there this past weekend again. It was as good as I remembered and the staff were so kind! Everyone at brunch raved about their meal, truly exceptional! “Service was really kind and the people were really kind + personable. Food was delicious!! We got the citrus salad which was bursting with flavor but not overly tart. For the main dish we got the Calabrian which was perfectly spicy yet sweet from the lemon and fresh and the mentally lumache which was such a fun, nutty twist to a pesto. The tandoori chicken was delicious and exceptionally moist, while the chicken curry was flavorful. Plus, the prices were reasonable. Inside, the decor was lovely and the staff friendly and fast. However, with the positive reviews accumulating over the years, I decided to give it another try. I'm pleased to say that this time around, I was very satisfied. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was attentive. Although the dining room was loud during our visit at a peak time, I won't let that deter me from returning. I'll simply choose a different time for my next visit.”

“Best in the Twin Cities for fish and chips like what I'm used to in England. Slightly surprised they're using white vinegar instead of malt, and the paper-in-a-basket approach can be a bit of a pain if your chips are drenched in curry sauce, but all in all a good experience.”
