Hands down the best sushi in the Midwest. Trust me- I’ve had them all. Until you get down to the bayou, there’s no competition. Kevin and Jiahao are top notch chefs- not to mention hilarious and gracious hosts.
On the outside, Watami looks pretty unassuming. It looks new/renovated, but nothing special. On the inside, it's totally different. Looks very modern, dark with neon accents, and almost like a club. As for the food, wow. This is literally the best hibachi place I've tried. The filet was nice seared, with good portion size. Our chef literally loaded our plates with delicious fried rice. We have been there twice now and both times were phenomenal. They are super friendly and the customer service is top notch. They are a bit pricey but for the portion sizes and the quality, it’s well worth it. Super excited to try more items on their menu and I highly recommend Watami!
