My grandma and I visited today for the first time. We both got the catfish with 2 sides, we both got mashed potatoes, I got corn and she had onion rings. The fish was pretty good. Fresh and hot. The sides were horrible, and inedible in my opinion. I told the wait staff when I went to pay and she responded that they get a lot of complaints about cold potatoes... Huh? Awesome diner food! Best Swiss mushroom cheeseburger in the area! It came with 2 1/4 pound burgers and a generoua.topping of mushrooms. Hubby had the Patty Melt and was equally pleased. We splurged and got the up charge sides of Mac n Cheese and breaded mushrooms; they were elevated diner sides cooked perfectly. Waitress was funny and quick on her feet. The burgers are featured in the menu, and are a draw to the restaurant. But they changed from fresh, handmade patties to pre-made patties. They taste salty and processed, ruining a great product that has stuck in my mind whenever I crave a hamburger. The burger was otherwise beautifully dressed and promised to be outstanding if the patty hadn't changed. An absolute disappointment as a regular. I went there for the burger, and left there with a shift to avoid them in the future.
