Let me start by saying the service here was the BEST we've experienced in CoMo. Our waitress Allison was fabulous. Our glasses were never empty and dinner every need was met. The small plates and appetizers were delicious, the beer bread worth the trip. Unfortunately, the fried meatloaf was raw inside and completely inedible, but Allison to the rescue! She had it removed from bill. The rabbit, pasta with mushrooms was earthy and filling and the boys seemed to enjoy their OMT sandwiches, but neither finished their portion. Our birthday girl liked the Modern Girl cocktail, but said later it gave her a bit of a headache. Great service and atmosphere but lackluster meal overall.

Excellent evening at this restaurant. We had reservations and the restaurant was full. Celebrated a family birthday and all was perfect! Starters included the meat board and pimento cheese with crackers. Excellent! Our waitress, Jasmine, was so good at guiding our selections and describing the meat board. Thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, brined pork chops with greens and grits, potato gnocchi with short ribs and pasta with sausage and mushrooms. The grits were the best we've ever had and the greens were spicy and so full of flavor! Dessert did not disappoint either..the table shared a flourless chocolate and almond cake and a pavlova with lemon curd. Perfect amount for the 4 of us. You are never disappointed at this fine establishment. Can't wait to come back and see what the chefs have created.

Went here with the fam after my graduation. Amazing food, atmosphere, and drink service. Would recommend going here with friends, family, or even a date! I ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was great and grits were some of the best I've had.

Favorite place in CoMo; nothing else even comes close! The cocktail menu continues to be the best in town and the bar staff is the best: knowledgeable, friendly, and always make us feel so welcome. Food is continually excellent. The kitchen is always innovating. Fantastic seasonal and local dishes.
The ambiance of this restaurant is really great. I went here on a date night around Christmas time and they had strung up lights all over the place among other decorations. The waiter was outstanding, checking in with us about the quality of drinks/food. The drinks were good but a bit pricey. The mule and sangria are both tasty. The food however was disappointing. I tried two of the burgers and they both were very overpriced below average burgers and the fries were slightly below average as well. The milk and honey bread was delicious though and came with a few different spreads such as butter and some . I will not be returning here anytime soon.
Absolutely loved this place! My family came in a rather large group and not a single person left unhappy. The drinks were all perfect, and the food delicious. Definitely recommend the loaf to start with, and the gumbo was lovely.

This place is a must try for an impressive dinner. My husband and I have been traveling for a few weeks and based on previous reviews decided to check out the restaurant. It was a perfect meal from beginning to end!Firstly, our waitress Chelsea was really great, friendly and attentive. We started with the pimento cheese and fried gnocchi, both so warm and delicious.I had the pork and my husband had the steak, both were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. We ended up sharing the carrot cake, HIGHLY recommend, it was absolutely fantastic.Thank you Barred Owl Butcher for a wonderful evening out and a perfect fall meal. We left so happy and full!

Our first time to this fantastic place. My husband had the huevos Ranchero, and I had the Peameal Bacon Benedict. Both were simply fantastic. The eggs were farmed close by as well as our meat. They've got a butcher area open, but it wasn't opened on Sunday. We'll be back. We didn't have reservations but were able to be sat within 20 minutes. It was very busy and every plate that came out looked so good.
