Favorite wing place of all time. I've been coming here for the last 10 years. I do have to say over the last 3 months i've came 3 times and not only me but a few others also believe the wing quality has been declining. Just wanted to give my thoughts!

Good place to get wings in Columbia. Probably a great bar to watch a sports game. I got the hot honey maple and they were crispy and delicious.

Stopped in after work for some wings and beer with my husband and had some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time. Breading was crispy and great beer selection. Our server Lydia was upbeat and headed us in the right direction with our food choices. Decor could be updated and bathrooms are a bit on the scary side but great experience overall. Will definitely be back!

Been eating at CJ's for 30+ years and it pains me to rate it anything less than 5 stars because I've long touted them as having the best wings in the State of Missouri. I still LOVE the wings and go back every chance I get BUT things have changed a bit since the glory days when Cheri and John still owned it.On our latest visit in mid-August, we discovered that they no longer serve celery and carrots with the wings. Not even as a separate side - they simply don't stock or offer any veggies with your wings anymore. Not a deal breaker because everyone comes for the wings, but c'mon. At least offer them for an extra $2 or something. We offered to pay for some even though they weren't even a side and the waiter said they don't even stock any so he couldn't help us.They also don't (or can't) seem to staff sufficient to offer reasonable table service. On our lastest visit, the bartender doubled as wait staff and it was a long wait for drinks, long wait to order, long wait for food, long wait for refill, long wait for check -- all of this on a Wednesday evening with maybe seating 1/4-1/3 full. If only one or two of long waits you just deal with it, it happens. But long waits the entire time are either understaffing or poor training. Our server was fine but was clearly expected to do too much.None of this will stop me coming again but it has made me less likely to recommend CJ's as a stop to friends who are coming to CoMO for the first time. I used to always choose it over Shakespeare's but now Booche's may even have better service and that's saying something since noone goes to Booche's for their service.

“Always buy enough to take some home!” That is my advice to anyone coming to CJ’s in Tiger Country. If you don’t get some to take home, you will be sad. Today our server, Lucy, was delightful and when asked, “What’s the best way to reheat these delicious wings,” she suggested an air fryer. We will definitely try that. Also, their LOADED FRIES were definitely “loaded” with plenty of melted cheese, yummy bacon bits, and a side of sour cream. CJ’s is, and always will be, a favorite for us!Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get in the door. Columbia, in general, is wheelchair friendly to get around.
These are the best hot wings in Columbia Missouri . wish they were open all day long so I could get my fix after 2 o’clock.

Me and the boys come here every Wednesday for lunch. It’s a great local favorite. It’s got that small town bar. Kind of feel the wings are absolutely delicious. The curly fries have a special seasoning on them and the service is friendly. Could I spend a little more on upkeep and decore? Sure, but some guys like that feel. Comfortable.

Based purely on nostalgia, from having gone to Mizzou many years ago, I have a fond place in my heart for CJs. I haven't been able to go there during game days, and I hope it's as much fun for this generation as it was for mine, just during weekday lunches and the place has been very quiet. However, the wings are great (Burn Your Face Off recommended). The staff is great. So much has changed in 30 years at Mizzou and Columbia but CJs is still a fond memory in the past and even today. THAT is what makes a place a 5 star.

This Columbia staple has been in my life since I’ve been a kid. The nostalgia paired with some of my favorite wings in town are tough to beat! I rarely venture away from the original wings here, but I’m not disappointed with I do. (Except the maple sauce, not my personal favorite).I’d highly recommend this place to anyone, but be sure to call ahead and verify their open since their hours are a little sporadic.
