The owner gave me the WORST customer service of my life. There was a stabbing there a few years ago also. He gets an attitude with lots of cuatomers.

The very best Chinese restaurant in town. They have an actual Chinese menu, with dishes found in China. They also have the typical American-style Chinese food and it's all great stuff. They have also stopped offering delivery, and their hours are such that it's difficult to make it in to get food anymore.

The worst Customer service i have ever received. The owner is extremely rude. There was also a stabbing there... dont reccomend.

House of chow is going to be your average decent Chinese restaurant, the food is good but isn't gonna make you surprised with its taste. For the prices and portion it is on the more pricey side, but you'll get your food quickly and it is exactly the way you would expect average mid-Missouri Chinese to taste.

I loved this place. They always have great service and great food. The past 2 years I’ve noticed that take-out orders are wrong about 85% of the time. Whether it is a missing entree or something that you didn’t order at all. I don’t understand how I can be any more clear with my non-complex order. This place was great but I don’t plan to set one Martha Focking foot in there ever again.

Unfortunately, I didn’t even get to order food or drink because I wasn’t offered any service until after everyone else that didn’t look like me was seated and taken care of. It’s a HUGE no for me. Not surprised just disappointed. Before I left I spoke with someone and addressed the behavior. They were very kind and cordial. Honestly, if I wasn’t already livid I would try again but it’s a no for me for now. It’s 2024 poor service does not equate to me still spending money.

Ate here before, however when my husband and I arrived the lights were on. Yet no one was inside, and we were within business hours according to the site and the door. Tried to call but the number was disconnected. Not sure if they closed die to the weather, but if you plan to do this don't leave the lights on and put a notice on the door. We chose to go to Peking Restaurant after this. Hopefully its open next time.

Honestly it was just very weird. We walked in and were sat immediately. 4 adults and a very well-behaved child. It was so quiet in there, despite a full restaurant so we were all whispering so the conversation didn’t move throughout the restaurant. It took 14 minutes to be seen by a server, but it was fine because the menu is massive. Then the food started coming out one person at a time so we basically all took turns eating “because some things were done before others.” Food was good. Check came and we were classified as a large party and tip was added ahead of time. Whatever only 18%, but I didn’t know 5 people would be a large party. Seems like they need some front of house leadership. It was just odd and we likely won’t be back.

Ordered take-out. Absolutely the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Egg rolls were greasy as could be, sweet/sour chicken had 1 piece of pineapple, 1 piece of carrot, and two small pieces of green pepper. S/S sauce was tasteless. Esp sad since this was a great place to eat ... won't go back.

Sad to say I’m disappointed with House of Chow. The food quality just isn’t what it was. Been going for years and typically it’s my favorite Chinese restaurant. Used to be able to justify the higher prices because the food was better. Now it’s average at best. Honestly, I think you get better food and prices at China Garden.

Always love eating here. Whether dinner or lunch, dine in or carry out. Excellent variety of appetizers, entrees, and beverages. Food always timely, fresh, and delicious. One of our favorites in CoMo.

The order online link on their website does not work. So we called in a take-out order and it was so loud the man could not hear us. We ordered mushroom dellight, which is listed as follows. “ NAPA CABBAGE, BROCCOLI, SNOW PEAS, MUSHROOM, CARROTS, BABY CORN, BAMBOO AND WATER CHESTNUT QUICK TOSSED IN A WHITE WINE SAUCE”. What we got was nothing but a bland brown sauce and mushrooms, no veggies of any kind except one or two snow peas. Yuk!!Our second order was for pork egg foo yong and dark sauce on the side. The egg foo yong was good, but the brown sauce was so salty I had to rinse it off before I could eat it!First and last time we’ll eat there!!Vegetarian options: The mushroom delight was awful!
