I've been here several times with friends, either in passing or when we have something special going on. I've never had a disappointing or bad experience. The food is always fresh and delicious, the sushi is displayed wonderfully, and the staff are always friendly and good to talk to. Highly recommend!
Sushi was good. they had some unusual rolls. prices we comparable to other sushi restaurants. Service was quick and attentive.
Always fresh and not too bad of a wait. I’ve had sushi from all over and am still surprised at how fresh the salmon is. I came to Love Sushi after having especially awful (and old) sushi from Osaka here in Columbia. Love Sushi was so good that we’ve made it our primary sushi joint since. Also, the service is always polite and efficient, something that I don’t take for granted after the Osaka nightmare.
Monday Jjampong is special, tasty, and big enough. That makes me want to go back here again and again. Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is clean and lively.
Only frightening meal of our two-week road trip: Love Sushi in Columbia, MO. How did the health inspector pass this place? Sushi chef apologizes for chemical smell, which he says is from an AC repair. Fish seemed room temperature and looked melted, not cold and fresh. Sushi case glass is spattered. Naugahyde cushions worn to bear threads. We ordered two rolls between the three of us and didn’t finish them out of fear.
Korean food is good here
This place has amazing sushi and some interesting menu items.
Service was horrible, as waitress forgot half our order then hid away, by sending others to apologize and try to fix our order situation. She only returned at end of meal to ask if we would like another drink, and hand us bill. No explanation, no apology, no discount for having to deal with 2 half meals and one missing kids meal. This will be only and last time we eat at this location, if we feel we will drive to Jefferson City location. Hope this helps others make decision to eat here or not......
One of our favorite places to dine. We dine here at least once a months. Superb service and our favorite server always remember my family.
I stopped in to get takeout. This was surprisingly fast and YUMMY. The service was great, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you're looking for good sushi or Japanese stop on by!
Not my favorite sushi restaurant in Columbia but good. Huge selection of dishes. However, leave this place last as your places to choose from the list of restaurants for sushi in Columbia. Atmosphere is nice & "wait staff" is very attentive. Fish appeared fresh which is VERY IMPORTANT when having sushi. Menu is good & pricing is good also. Don't have to take out a second mortgage on your house when having sushi at this restaurant! All in all, a good place for sushi in Columbia. The "locals" seem to like because the restaurant always seem for lunch. However, I prefer one of the other three. Guess it's just a matter of personal choice.
I'm from north idaho, so we don't have perfectly fresh fish either, but this place is by far the worst sushi that's ever been made. Got 4 different rolls and nigiri and all of it tastes as if it's 2 weeks old. Fred Meyer or grocery store pre made sushi is gourmet compared to this. Tried all of it and had to spit all of it out other than one roll which only had cooked crab and cooked shrimp. Absolutely don't go here unless you want rancid fish.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Friendly staff, delicious food, excellent atmosphere. Quick turn around for customers meant that I was able to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom at her favorite restaurant!
Wonderful sushi. Good prices and great atmosphere. Polite staff.
Went for Mother's day dinner. They were very busy but they worked so hard to get everyone seated and served. Excellent menu with great variety, including a Korean section with Bulgogi (beef, pork, and chicken options). Our dinner was delicious. We will be visiting again.
