Came across Smoking Barrels BBQ as we were driving through Old Town Fenton and decided to try it for the first time. While the outside of the building isn't as appealing, the inside is super fun. Great decorations, fun table options and TVs with sound. We ordered the Barrel for 2 with Brisket, Ribs and Chicken - everything was really great. Utter deliciousness & a smoking Value!! I had the brisket platter and it was excellent! Out of a huge pile of brisket on my plate, I didn't have to contend with wrangling around pulling out pieces of fat every other bite like I've had to at another famous place way more expensive! It's so delightful to just mow on so much beef and not encounter fatty brisket! I can't stress this enough because it's a meal-breaker for me. I was taking my mom out for an early Father's Day (single mom she did it all) lunch. We almost went to Bandana's. I'm so glad that we didn't! The food here is way better and the service was awesome. I just wish that I lived in the area so that I could visit more often. ?
