I cannot explain how man times o have had to say i dont want soggy waffles fries and yet every single time I pay for my meal my wife come home and low and behold apparently people here have no idea how to cook fries and chicken tenders apparently since my breading is wet and soggy 90% of the time along with my fries. I'm so sick of paying for your people to mess up my meal 9/10 times

We were down here for a business trip and it was so hard to find good food places to eat. In Scottsdale, Az we have some of the best restaurants available. It was a little bit of a shock when we came to Kansas City and it was almost impossible to find late night restaurants open that were actually good. This place was great! So awesome that we went a few times during our trip! Highly impressed. Out of the 20 places we tired during our trip, this place was number one.

First time here on Friday, it was crowded. Lots of tasty food. I wanted some traditional beef, so ordered sirloin, but came out as something slightly different covered with sausage. I wouldn't order this again.

I came here last night with my bf and my 12 month old. I've been coming to 54 for years(several locations but mostly this one) and last night was legit the best service I've ever had at one.Our server's name was Apollo and they were so kind, attentive and aware. We seriously didn't feel like we were just a tip to them. Like they really just wanted us to have a great experience.Our food was also better than normal. My burger was cooked to PERFECTION. I always order medium wherever I go and never really get medium, usually medium well. This time it was so beautiful. My bfs steak was also perfect and juicy. Our sides were hot and fresh. My drink was delicious.I'm really not sure what they're doing differently up there but it's working. It's always been good but last night was great. Keep it up, y'all

My husband and I chose to eat here after a busy morning of shopping. Although it was busy, the staff was attentive and sat us in a timely manner. Our server was just as attentive and was on top of everything: refills, lemons, condiments, you name it. My husband and I got the chicken nachos as an appetizer and we HIGHLY recommend these. SO STINKING GOOD. It will be our new go-to. For our entrees, he ordered a burger which he said was the best he ever had. I got the sirloin med-rare which came out medium well. IMMEDIATELY, our server put in for a new one and then not one, not two, but three managers came to apologize for the steak. As someone who had been a server for many years, I told them everything was totally fine, but it was incredibly thoughtful for all of them to be so on top of my meal. The new steak (and a SECOND loaded baked potato,) came out quickly, cooked perfectly, and tasted great. Needless to say, I know what I will be having for dinner tonight. We will definitely be back.

Jesus could resurrect in this place and these people wouldn't notice. Sat for over 20 mins with our drinks empty while waiting for our food. I ordered my steak rare to medium rare and it came every bit of medium well. Not a single person asked how everything was. When the food came we asked for steak sauce and salad dressing. At which point a different waiter noticed our drinks were empty and asked what we were drinking. Then proceeded to do nothing about it. 10 mins later our waitress Aurora finally came by again, no steak sauce, no dressing, and still no drinks. She then proceeded to blame other people without so much as an apology. Not once did she apologize. Even after I sat with an empty drink for a second time for 10 mins. Then once everything was done she hovered waiting for us to pay the check that she didn't even think to get a discount on. Sum it all up with her dull uncaring table side manor and you've painted the picture of our very not so great experience.

This is the perfect place for a date night with your sweetheart before the movie at AMC Commons 54th Street bar and grill has really good food they always please us whenever we go this is my wife's favorite restaurant in the whole entire world great food great prices
