3/17/24Had this again after years.I was actually in the mood for itSo I ordered.Poblano burrito. Was good.But it seemed not to be as thick asI'd expect for $12.. ?Was good and ate it all.Street taco. Don't care for corn tortillas but it was decent.Didn't care for the red sauce.Green sauce was great!Got chips and salsa. UnfortunatelyIt was the same red sauce they put in the little cups. So that was trashed.Wife got chicken bowl.Side of tortilla. Was bigger then chipotle?Also a large coke and 3 grilled jalapenos.. all for $35.Was decent food. All but red sauce.Is consider going back.--+--++---+++Was ok.. I just don't care for authentic cuisine. I think taco Bell is better. But that's just me.

3.17.24The roasted jalapenos are tasty, not spicy just tasty. The homemade tortillas are perfection and huge. Not a fan of the salsa. The chicken is tender but it and the rice has a strange flavor. It was decent enough that I'm not hungry anymore, but I probably won't go back.

This is our favorite place for burritos locally. They are enormous and delicious ? They have a lot more to choose from than just burritos but since the first time my tastebuds experienced their Chicago burrito I've been hooked and it has been my go-to. If you want authentic at a decent price this is your place.

Cheese sauce was pretty good when I started going. The past five or so times it has gotten really bad. Super watery and tasteless.
I got food poisoning here. Will NEVER EVER order from this place again!!!! ????Go to Ell Gallo in Independence - their food is MUCH BETTER!! California Taco Shop SUCKS!!!!

Being raised in the San Fernando Valley from age 5 thru 19 I always lived the Mexican food available to me there. This place reminds me of those wonderful meals. Great food, friendly staff and efficient service. If you like authentic Mexican food, be sure to drop by here and take advantage of it's great food!
