Great food, affordable prices, fast and friendly service, clean and cute environment, great location with plenty of parking. I haven't tried everything yet but for lunch I like the grilled salmon sandwich and the chicken salad croissant. They make a real good burger here. They're breakfast is great too. This is my favorite place!
During a stop-over in Independence MO to see the Harry Truman home ... we meandered around the town square area to find a bite to eat. Based on ratings and looking for a relaxed setting ... we decided to try Dave's. It was a 100% correct decision. The food (cheeseburger and salmon sandwich with fries and fried pickles) was excellent and prepared "just right". This place reminds me of a diner. It is a treasure because the food is pretty good for lunch. The wait has never been too long, the staff is friendly, and it seems to attract a lot of locals.
