I have been coming to Hi-Boy's my whole life. It's the best cheeseburger in town. My mother was a teen when it opened. She taught us to love it and now my kids crave it! We now live 2 hours away and it's the first place we stop when we come to KC!!!

As soon as I pulled into the drive-in, I was greeted by the nostalgic atmosphere and the smell of sizzling burgers on the grill. I decided to try their famous cheeseburger with fries, and it was absolutely delicious! I also couldn't resist ordering a milkshake to complete my meal, and it was the perfect sweet treat on a hot day. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices were affordable. Hi-Boy Drive-in provided a memorable dining experience that reminded me of simpler times.

Carry out only so atmosphere can't be rated very high but it's not bad either. Located very close to Independence at 40 Highway and Blue Ridge Cutoff. Might be a ways to go but definitely worth it. Junior double cheeseburger seems to be the universal favorite. Right now they have had to stop offering onion rings because their supplier got bought out and they did not like the quality that was switched to. They're working on getting that corrected. Hopefully they do because they were the best onion rings in town at one time. This didn't impact me because I bought tons of onion rings but switched to breaded mushrooms when they added that to their menu. I highly recommend the breaded mushrooms.Kid-friendliness: No dine in. The expectation is that you eat it in your car there or take it to go. So if you're okay with your kids eating in your car it can be kid friendly in in only that sense.Wheelchair accessibility: All on level ground no ramps or stairs needed.
