“Great restaurant, food & waitstaff! We stopped in for lunch today on our way home and Brandy was our waitress and she did amazing even though they were packed! They have great homemade ranch and their fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely go again and hope to try their breakfast someday!“

I’ve been twice, both during trips to do a ghost hunt at Missouri State Penitentiary. I am so in love with Ecco Lounge that I am daydreaming about it! The atmosphere is incredible. I love the historic, old school vibes-it makes it comfortable but also there’s a lot to learn about the history! The staff is always friendly. One of the waitresses even recognized us last time from the year before! The food is the cherry on top. I haven’t had a single item there I didn’t absolutely love and I must say, the prices are super fair for the portions you get! So much cheaper than many other places! If you’re looking for historic vibes and amazing food served with a smile, Ecco Lounge is where you need to eat. If there’s any wait at all, I promise it is well worth it.“

Only thing I wish was better was the cost of drinks was about the same as the food, so wish they would make those a little more reasonable. All in all spent $70 for 4 people for about 2 hours of fun.“

“Just held a small (50-60 ppl) event here, and I want to say that everything was perfect. Rob and Laurie gave stellar service, including a last-minute reset of the room for us - all done with a smile and great customer service attitude. We ordered the veggie tray, a smoked salmon tray and antipasto tray. Not only was the quality excellent, the portions were quite generous - no one left hungry. We had open beer and wine service, and everyone was happy with the wide selection. The only negative, and it's a quibble, is that the facility itself is definitely showing its age, and is ready for an update. I understand Madison's is under new ownership, so perhaps that's in the works. Meantime, when we have another event, Madison's will be at the top of our list. Thank you!“
“Been here a few times for dinner, and it was generally good. Wait staff was sometimes inexperienced and didn't seem to quite have the concept of customer service down (but other times was excellent). BUT, just tried their lunch buffet for the first time yesterday and wow, it was *great*. Just the basics that appeal to mid-MO people: fried chicken, fried catfish, mashed potatoes, green beans, two other veg, mac and cheese...very traditional, but sooooooo nicely done. The vegetables were surprisingly good, even the broccoli. Service was excellent, and the kitchen kept the buffet well stocked even though it was busy. Price is, I think, $10.99 each, total came to $30-something for two, maybe drinks are extra, not sure--but so worth it (and really that's pretty cheap compared to almost every restaurant right now).“

“Steve's offers delicious, homestyle cooking. Their fried chicken is perfectly cooked as is their country ham. Their vinegar based slaw, green beans and fries are all excellent sides. Their bread, which is served as an appetizer, is tasty as well. It is a short drive from Jefferson City, and definitely worth it.“
“We got there close to closing time after a long day of moving. We were the only customers on that cold night with a storm moving in. We still got excellent service and the food was exceptional. Most "fast food" restaurant staff would have probably been grumpy according to my experience, but we had a wonderful meal with no stress.“

“When I got to this place I felt like my fiancé and I would stick out like a sore thumb. Once we got in there we def felt at home! The hostess got us in quickly was very nice. Our waitress was beautiful and very courteous and quick on her feet. Drinks food appetizers came in a timely fashion and food was amazing. Our waitress was on point!!!!“
“Hot and fast, what Steak'n'Shake could have been before their malaise. Workers here are not chatty, but fast and efficient. A bit noisy but you likely won't notice while you're enjoying your meal. Grab one of a variety of signature sauces for your fries. The custard here is on par with Culver's (++), and maybe a half-tier down from a specialty joint.“
“Wow, amazing little greasy spoon. We had the wings and the street corn nachos, so freaking good. The wings were crispy on the outside with a tasty smoky center. And the nachos had a kick and an amazing favor combo.My only issue is the place is a little small, you may need to get the food to go.“
