I wouldn't recommend the Chicago style pizza. Massively covered in red sauce, my husband even asked that they leave it off but they didn't. My Caesar salad was good.

Has a sports bar or college pub feel. Service was good. Garlic bread had good flavor but wish it was thicker. BBQ Chicken was decent, had plenty of chicken but was lacking onion and BBQ sauce. It's just okay.Parking: It a strip center so parking can be difficult if busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Has required handicap access.

Food and drinks were amazing. They were busy, so it took a bit for our food....but I have to acknowledge Brooke! She stood with a customer at the bar for 20 minutes telling him he was not driving home. She kept her patience and was nor talked to very nicely by this gentleman, which had already fallen in the restaurant. Finally a table got him an Uber. Good job Brooke for keeping all of us sober drivers safe!!!

I was in Joplin for training and wanted to try Gusano’s because I heard it was good.I dined alone and was seated at a 2 top table. I got a pitcher of beer because the math made it cheaper than 2 tall mugs (you’re welcome!).I got a small salad to start and a Chicago style single pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers. It was all FANTASTIC!

Have been go there for years love the place. Till last night walked in a hour before close and was told that the kitchen was closed and was asked to leave. Very disappointed when this happens.
Just left there hungry. We were there almost an hour without our server checking in on us but only one time. I didn't get a refill on my drink and did not get our food. We left due to poor service. Very disappointed.

Gusano's did taste good. We had the Cesar salad that had a little kick to it, which was a nice surprise. We also ordered the grubs choice Chicago style pizza. The pizza tasted good and the toppings were made like a Chicago style pizza, however the crust was NOT Chicago style crust. It was thin and tasted like a cracker. So the crust brought it down to 4 stars. Atmosphere and servers were fine, nothing stood out.

We were with a party of 15 last Sat. We tried making reservations but were told they don't take them. However, we have made them in the past. As a result, our server was frazzled. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and our pizza was not hot once it was brought to us. It will be a while before we go back.

Gusano's is always a great choice. Service is awesome, and the food is as well. If you want really good pizza and appetizers, this is the place to go.
