We have eaten here twice now and again yesterday, we probably won't be back. the food is great but unfortunately had a misunderstanding with the menu which was our fault but wasn't handled well by the manager working she ended up making the waitress and my girlfriend cry.What happened was we ordered the shrimp tempura roll not knowing there was crab, it came out my girlfriend sent it back and was brought out the wrong thing again we just took it as that and asked for the menu to reorder. We reorder the same roll without the crab. The manager came over and asked what the situation was, she explained to us that we had a perfectly good sushi roll and it didn't make sense why we are ordering another one I explained what happened and the manager said it would be going on the servers ticket so I just offered to pay for it all at this point it wasn't worth the hassle. The poor waiter came back looked like she was crying and explained it wasn't our fault her boss just went off on her and wasn't nice. As I asked for To go boxes right away because by the time my girl friend was in the car feeling guilty the manager continued to be rude to the waitress. Thank you to that waitress I know it's not easy working in the food business! Also for your boss to try and blame it on you during the conversation was wrong so many things could have been handled better in this situation.

We went there yesterday and order 2 bento boxes and sashimi. My bento included shrimp tempura sushi and beef teriyaki that comes with rice, miso soup, salad and edamame. Their sushi rice reminds me of Kimbap, well-seasoned but the rice is just not sushi type of rice. The beef teriyaki reminds me of Beef Satay from Indonesia. Well-seasoned and grilled well. I am Indonesian so it really feels nice to eat something similar to home. I really like the miso. It is really nice to have something warm when it's cold outside.My husband's bento has 2 different kinds of sushi and a bowl of rice ( we didn't realize that the bento always comes with rice, hence the name, bento). The salmon sushi was good but not my preference but he said he enjoyed it.Another thing that we ordered was nigiri salmon and tekka (tuna). The fish was really fresh and they used proper rice in this one. We enjoyed every bit of it.They have refillable ocha, but only comes in hot, I guess (as it is what's written in the menu).We had nice experience here and will not hesitate to come back.
Food was very good. Atmosphere is nice with upscale decore. Lots of booths & tables. Decent bar also for some very good drinks. Mid range prices & speed of service was good also.

What the dollar $ign is going on here? Must be Joplin with no sushi competition. This place wouldn't work elsewhere without lowing their prices. It's a pretty run of the mill sushi joint. There is nothing extraordinary or special about this establishment...At all, except extraordinary high prices. Not impressed. $8 for soup????

2/6/24 new servers, food was great, servers are learning so have patience (come with time). 12/14/22 Update-the food was great. Getting faster service. In and out in a timely fashion. I would recommend this restaurant to people now.Preorder does not work at this restaurant. Manager rude to employee and customers. Order was wrong for 5 people. For people that have a timed lunch (1 hr) do not come here.3/3/22 update food take still a little long, waitresses does not come back to check if everything is OK. Ask for utensils and maybe they will be back. A little better than last time.

A best kept secret in my opinion! Huge sushi menu and if you’re not a sushi fan I recommend the Razorback, which is hot & cooked with fish inside. Sushi for non sushi people. But the menu is extensive so everyone should be able to find something I think! The staff is nice and it’s a fun vibe. Not too fancy but a little bit of charm. It’s become a regular for us!
