Wow, I can't believe Bluestem is closed :.( My boyfriend took me here for our 1 year anniversary in August and I was looking forward to coming back this year to celebrate my birthday too. This place was incredible. From the customer service to their food. They were very sweet and helped us navigate the menu for gluten free options, since I have a gluten intolerance. I am a KC native but have been living in PHX,AZ for the last few years. I recently was back in town celebrating a family member's wedding and we took the couple here to celebrate a few nights before. Because of COVID, they were serving their menu with more of an a la cart process. This was perfect because it gave everyone in our party a chance to get exactly what they wanted. We got the fried green tomatoes which were fantastic and we loved the pureed sauce. The small plate we got was lamb ragu and that stole the show- it was creamy, flavorful, and had a bit of spice. For the large plate, we got the filet which was cooked perfectly with delicious balsamic vinegar asparagus.
