A small bit wonderful spot that's been in KC for years. Pot Pie provides one with that feeling of home and the salads are leagues above your standard ice burg lettuce you get at other places. This is a warm homie atmosphere devoid of the echoed sounds of a cafeteria to get in larger restaurants. Overall impression- friendly, local gem with a cozy, neighborhood restaurant vibe and top notch food, drink and service. We called ahead on a weeknight and they promptly answered the phone and said they had plenty of tables. We were greeted warmly by bar and wait staff. Cozy, classy, quiet place for a date. My friends tell me that the whole menu is excellent, but I can't get past the beef & mushroom pie and pan-fried chicken so far, they are just so good! The portions are good, and the service is great.
