Thaiger

I've been to Thaiger many times over the years and have always recommended it to others but was really disappointed this visit. Got the pho today since it was kind of cold out (I've had it at least 2 times in the past) and it was basically inedible. The meat was so tough I had to spit it out and eat spicier than it's been in the past. Ended up throwing it out without finishing.

My brother and I were exploring a few weekends ago and we found ourselves in North Kansas City in an area called The Iron District. Neither of us had ever heard of it, so we parked and trekked in to find a collection of small businesses in a sort of co-op. I'll review the Iron District another time, but as we walked around we chose to grab lunch from Thaiger KC. Thaiger KC has always been on my list to visit whenever I go to Iron District. Yelp had an event for elites to check out Thaiger during AAPI month.We got a cute bento box courtesy of Yelp and inside was the sampler. I was able to get a feel of what Thaiger is and their food was very flavorful and delicious. The staff when I went wasn't too fond or friendly. But I am guessing they probably had a bad day.Overall, I will definitely come back and visit an order a meal here!
