“We ordered one of the specials, country fried steak with different sides. Slight modifications really took the flavor up a notch, delicious! The decor was a nice break from fast food places. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely go again.”

“Oooh, I love this place! There's such a great variety of treats to choose from, and they actually TASTE as good as they look (or better!). I especially love the chocolate chip cookie slices and specialty cupcakes. The sugar cookie slices are seriously the best version of sugar cookie that I've ever had in my life!! Most of the time I order one of everything for my family to sample. I have got to say I'm impressed because there are different recipes of frosting on each individual treat- it's not like she only uses one type of buttercream. One cupcake flavor might be dense and rich, while another islite and silky. Having access to that kind of variety in one visit to the bakery is outstanding. 5 stars!!”

“Enjoy both sushi, sashimi and hibachi dinners here. One review said no hibachi but they do serve hibachi grilled meals. They don’t cook on a grill in front of you like the showy fire and flashing knife shows they do at other hibachi grills but the food is hibachi cooked and very good.”

“Las Brisas is definitely one of the better Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. I highly recommend the Molcajete Las Brisas. It's a unique and delicious dish that's sure to please.Parking: The parking lot is a bit strange, but they've done the best possible job to maximize parking spaces.”

“Awesome service and food. I tried most of the Mexican restaurants in Cape Girardeau & Jackson, but this Don Carlos in Jackson offers the best taste in food compared to the others. I vouch for the Birria Taco combo all the time, it is my go to order whenever I visit this restaurant. The Mexipizza is my second favorite. I would recommend the Birria Taco to everyone as a must order.”

“I absolutely love their lattes. I always receive great customer service. I do wish they could redo their avocado toast recipe. The mix they use is terrible and I couldn’t eat more than a bite of it. Also wish they had a drive through just for personal preference with having to drag kids out and what not but, the atmosphere is great for when I get to sit and do my school work.”

“Love the food. Well worth the drive from Cape Girardeau to eat here. They have a 1lb burger for under $10 that beats the socks off of anything in Cape. Cheap drinks too and well made. The pic I posted has waffle fries which are extra. Only be burger comes on the order but still a huge value and it's all real meat.”

“This place is absolutely amazing! Best beef brisket and ribs in the area. The chicken is also incredible!Not sure why, but this location in Jackson is head and shoulders above other locations I've eaten at... The one in Cape is hit or miss and the employees are usually not very happy... The one in Dexter was terrible... But the manager must be really good at the Jackson location because the staff is so friendly and the food is always amazing with ample portions! Great job!”

Additional I order this cone that I don’t remember they name, really good for share with the family they have: cheese, salami, ham, tomato, strawberry and grapes. “My first time here at Bayou was great. Service was excellent, good atmosphere, and the servings. My gosh the servings, they are huge. If you get an appetizer (to share, don't tackle one yourself) and just the main item with no sides you will be golden. I got the smoked pork steak and while it was a little dry (but that's pork, I won't hold it against them) the sauce was amazing but be sure to ask for extra sauce. Their blackened shrimp are amazing as well. I'd say definitely worth stopping in on an empty stomach and bring friends if you want to finish off an appetizer.”

My friend loves their dunkers -- chicken tenders on steroids.Service: The waitress was friendly, but you had to get her attention instead of her checking if you needed a drink refill. Atmosphere: We ate in on a cold day last week. It was very uncomfortable since they don't have a double door. Every time someone opened the door it was like a blast from Alaska. Today I did take out to avoid that issue. “Got chicken and fries. Wait wasn't long at all. Only bad thing was some utility truck blocked us in while they waited for their food so it was hard for bigger vehicles to get around it. But that isn't DQ's fault. Didn't get sick from the food and appreciate the Texas toast!”
