“This is a diamond in the rough. From the outside it doesn't look like much. But inside, as soon as you walk in, greetings are hollared from the bar area. Service is fast, friendly, and very personable. Clean, tidy dining. Seek this place out!!!!! I know we will whenever we pass through.Dietary restrictions: We have food intolerances to shrimp, peanuts, gluten, food dyes etc. Our waitress was great!Kid-friendliness: Wonderful childrens menu, we were all adults so didnt have to use.”

“My wife ordered my 26th birthday cake from here a three layer vanilla cake and banana cheesecake combination Kyla did the most amazing Decor on the cake I had ever seen Harry Potter the colors came out stunning. The cake was absolutely delicious and a hit of the party. When I walked into the bakery to pick up my order I was greeted immediately with smiles the display case has so many different cheesecakes if I was not already picking up a cake I would have gotten many. Kyla will definitely have more of my business ?.”

“Such a cute little shop in Odessa! We drove past on our way from Columbia to Kansas City. It's just a short jaunt off the highway and very worth the stop! I enjoyed a purple daze single scoop sundae with hot fudge and added banana. So good! We also had a traditional banana spilt. Such a cute location in a little downtown square area. Kind service and cute vibe!”

“Wow!! This Chicago boy, now living in Odessa, has very high standards when it comes to Chinese food, where there are numerous excellent ma and pa Chinese restaurants! And the China Buffet has hit those standards big time!! Excellent food, service, and very friendly staff.”

“It's likely you've never been to Mayview or this restaurant/ bar. It not the easiest to get to. However, the food, service and welcoming atmosphere makes this out of the way place well worth a small detour. The tenderloin is outstanding. I added horseradish to the sandwich, tater tots, and a beer which brought it to a 5 star meal that makes me look forward to my next one. The only thing that was better than the food and outstanding service was the price. All in and I was out for $14.75 (including my imported Negro Mondelo beer). The mayor and his wife are the owner / operator. Make sure you ask for him. Weekends have live music and this time of year, the screened in porch is the spot for your meal.”

“I went here when I was in the area. They had catered a dinner at church and it was delicious. Well in person it was sort of average. I liked the Cole slaw very much. There was a slight gas odor in the restaurant and that took the joy out of my experience. For most of my visit I was the only diner, while several came for takeout orders. The dining room is quite large with many four top tables.Parking: The crowd was sparce that night. The parking lot is fairly large.”

“We heard about this place from one of the amazing waitresses. It was worth the drive from Independence!! YUMMY!! I had the steak and ordered it medium. It was the first restaurant steak I have had in YEARS that was PERFECTLY cooked!! It was delicious!!! My husband had a cheeseburger and wow!! The staff was super friendly, the place was very clean and the food was amazing!! If you are looking for a great place to eat it is worth the short drive!! ?”
