“Small town Mexican can sometimes be the best. Traveling on business and stumbled into El Nopal thanks to Yelp when the other restaurant in Palmyra was closed on Mondays. Friendly service, $6.99 margaritas on Monday, and super delicious shrimp tacos. Ask for the extra hot salsa and the side of cheese and lettuce to stuff the tacos. Returned a second time for the exact same dish it was so good. Very friendly. Even the people in Hannibal MO say it's the best Mexican in the area and I agree.”

“A friend mentioned this was a great place to stop and get a bite to eat while driving through. We arrived about 10 minutes before they opened and got seated right away. Within 10-15 minutes the place was jam packed! The food and service was amazing! The staff couldn't be more friendly - so we will definitely return on our annual trek to Iowa!!”

“Stopped here overnight as a truck driver. I know it's just fast food but you got to give credit where it's due. No only was the food great quality, the staff were beyond incredible. Everybody was in a friendly mood and treated every guest equally with kindness. Specifically the manager Ann and Cashier Tylie(hope I got her name right) and the young man upfront were absolutely incredible. “Went there with my sister today. Had a great experience. The mushroom quesadilla was a great idea. It's almost like a Latin Italian fusion which includes a side of Chinese chili crisp in oil. Brilliant. 3 cultures in one dish! ❤️ the service ❤️ the aesthetic. ❤️ the vintage furniture. ❤️ the old living room style record player with the stacks of records that's used to play music in the store. ❤️ the painting of general Bill Murray ❤️ the signage on the window which helped up make our decision to go there in the first place.”

“I've lived in Hannibal for quite a while and never tried this place I tried the other Chinese restaurants in town like Royal Garden and China King but this is hands down the best and I'm very disappointed I didn't try it sooner wow the general tsos chicken was on another level.”

“Yes. For so many reasons. We needed a special spot in town to catch up over drinks that didn’t involve a restaurant bar/grill-like setting. This establishment was just perfect. Service was excellent. Menu had a variety of drinks including fun Mocktails. Something for everyone. “The place is always clean, and it feels chill. My thoughts are fairly positive surrounding it. The only thing that really bothers me is the ingredients. With the exception of the fish, shrimp, and rice, other ingredients seem really American. It is the taste and texture. Then again, it is possible that it's just me. Please drop in and continue to support this business!”
