This was my first experience at Hendricks BBQ, and it was FANTASTIC! The atmosphere was definitely upscale compared to other BBQ places, yet it was fitting for the theme. What really stood out was the food. The rib tips and brisket just melted in my mouth, throwing my palette for a loop from what was expected. Edited review as of 3/8/24: I left my last review after a visit about 10 months ago. Just went back last night with a group of 6 after a co-worker told me it was better, and he was definitely right. So happy to see this place back to what they used to be. Food was delicious, got the ribs and smoked turkey. Top notch old fashioneds by the bartender. I love the feel of this place. All of the wood gives it a very classy country vibe. The BBQ here is probably the best in STL, and I drive from KC just to have it. I met up with some friends here at 3PM, so it was in the middle of a dead period. The meat was tender, but the sides were a little lacking on flavor.
