For Italian food, Bruno's is my favorite with Sicilian-inspired dishes. I love the pizza and pasta with shrimp.

New menu is fantastic! Really enjoyed the Scallops and Eggplant Parmesan.

We had a reservation and were seated. No one acknowledged us for 15 minutes and then they finally brought us glasses of water. We waited so long we just ordered our appetizer and our dinner items right away. We waited at least 30 more minutes without anyone checking refills on our drinks. They brought our dinner and my food was completely cold (lobster ravioli) and my husbands pasta was luke warm. I pointed out to the person who finally brought our food that we never got our appetizer. She said oh yeah sorry do you still want it? We replied yes that is why we ordered it. She put the order in. We finished our dinner and were still waiting on our appetizer. They brought the appetizer before we left. They didn’t charge us for the appetizer thankfully. We didn’t stay for dessert. We almost walked out it was so ridiculous. Which is so sad because the restaurant looked nice and the food tasted amazing even though it was cold. So disappointed.

We love this restaurant. The lobster ravioli is amazing. It has a unique atmosphere, which is great for romantic or just regular date nights. The cheese bread appetizer is a must have.Parking: Parking can be a little difficult. We parked south of the restaurant in the Baptist Church parking lot.

What a waste of time. We waited for 45 minutes only to be told we couldn't have the food we ordered.

I dined in at Bruno's Italian Restaurant last Tuesday February 13th and i had heard great things about it but I hadn't been there before. It's a very nice place inside and I was greeted immediately by the hostess and I sat at a table instead of the bar area. My waitress (who also one of the bartenders) came over and greeted me and asked what I would like to drink. I ordered water with lemon but I also wanted to order one martini so my waitress (I apologize I forgot her name) suggested their signature martini which is an espresso martini, so I ordered one of those and I ordered an appetizer eggplant parmesan and told her that I would look over the menu for my entree. There were several customers there and the bar area has a tv to watch sports shows. All the food I saw being served looked amazing and I asked a few tables near me how their food was and they all said "excellent". My drink arrived and I ordered the Pasta Carbonara for my entree. Okay the Espresso Martini was amazing! My appetizer arrived shortly afterwards and it was THE BEST I have had for so long (a few years ago in St. Louis "Hill" area is the only other place where it was this good), you have to try it. About 15 minutes later the Pasta Carbonara arrived and it looked and smelled amazing! Okay so what I said about the Eggplant Parmesan goes doubly for the Pasta Carbonara! It was the most delicious dish and perfectly prepared with balanced flavors and perfect seasoning. I am so looking forward to going back.Bruno's Italian Restaurant is located on South Street just south of Walnut Street. I urge everyone to visit because it is SO MUCH BETTER than other Italian restaurants in Springfield Mo.All these buildings downtown are old and elegant but it is a bit noisy inside but that's true of all the restaurants downtown.10 stars for the food, service and 8 stars for the ambiance.

Food was decent. The younger blonde lady who seats you was very rude . Not a great first impression.. when spending over $100 for 2 people to eat , I thought the person welcoming you in the restaurant should at least be friendly.Won't be back for that reason

We started off with the carpaccio and caprese salad and both were outstanding. The canneloni and pizza were both fantastic as well. Our server Mike was knowledgeable and had the right amount of humor to make our experience very enjoyable. It was a pretty memorable meal.

Was 5 stars, New owners came in and changed the pizza I used to get. Looks like it's prepared differently than it used to be. Things got more expensive and portions got lower too, the spaghetti we used to get is half the size now. Disappointing to say the least.

Vegetarian options: Asked wait staff to bring me the best vegetarian dish. It was great. Gelato was also awesome

Seafood ravioli tasted amazing, you only get 6-8 pieces of ravioli so if you going for quantity everything else will satisfy. We were seated near the back, and it make our meal a bit unpleasant as you could smell the restrooms after a while...

It’s always a great time spent here eating authentic food. The people working here are a joy and Bruno did a damn good job making this place what it is.
